the news on the widening Republican corruption scandal proceeds apace.

What happened to your Rove "slam dunk" indictment? Looks like Libby will be walkin'…….. I think the republican valet driver was 5 minutes late to work. You guys should try and get an indictment. I'm sure you guys can fabricate a law that was broken. You know what attorneys say; they could indict a grilled cheese sandwich.....well, Earle might have trouble indicted a sandwich, it took him 6 grand juries before he found the group of imbeciles to issue an indictment against DeLay. But that’s already fallen apart…..poor, poor democrats.

Jeeze, and people like Apollyon say we are always hurling insults at them. I wake up to read something intelligent by my fellow bloggers here at TLC, and what do I get? Some guy with a yellow streak running down his back. In other words, a snipper. These guys really can't defend their positions, so shooting off their mouths and then running and hidding is not unusual.

Hey Apollyon, how's that 34% going for ya? Enought said.

I'm sure you guys can fabricate a law that was broken.

You should ask Ken Starr about this.

goose1, good one. LOL

Bendito, Apollyana,

I keep posting these examples of deliberate WMD/ties to terrorist lies by the administration and you keep ignoring them (after asking for them again!!) Do you have any reply or is you integrity and charachter as low as appears?

1) Cheney said it was “pretty well confirmed” Iraqi intel agents had met with Atta in Prague. In fact our intel agencies had pretty well confirmed that was not true BEFORE he was out saying it.

2) Bush was pushing the Niger yellow cake story AFTER Wilson, the IAEA, and anybody else who looked at the ridiculous evidence said it was not true.

3) Rice was saying the aluminum tubes could only be for nukes AFTER our intel agencies had concluded they were most likely COULD NOT BE USED for that purpose.

4) They all said Iraq was training terrorists in bomb making and other terror skills AFTER the source had been deemed unreliable and AFTER he had recanted.

5) They all used curveball’s mobile wmd lab and remote drone garbage AFTER multiple intel agencies had deemed him unreliable.

6) Ten days after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, President Bush was told in a highly classified briefing that the U.S. intelligence community had no evidence linking the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein to the attacks and that there was scant credible evidence that Iraq had any significant collaborative ties with Al Qaeda, according to government records and current and former officials with firsthand knowledge of the matter....

The best investigative work is for
naught if we don't stop upcoming
vote tampering by Diebold in 2006.

Diebold voting machines can be rigged
on the spot by almost anyone. More
important, their tabulators--which
count your beloved absentee ballots--
can easily be hacked also.

Americans can "vote" but it doesn't
matter as long as crooked people are
doing the counting.

Need to address vote fraud NOW.

The Truth, you have made your point well. What surprises me is that these two trolls haven't Googled Rush and posted his lies or made-up their own lies. I guess it is getting more difficult to defend lies these days, considering the FACTS out there.

Posted by Judith at November 26, 2005 06:04 AM

Egregious, each and everyone of us are very concerned about future elections in this Country. Every state should say no to Diebold, just as California did. No paper trail, no Diebold. Having said that, we all know that the first two elections were a test run, so it is critical to demand a paper trail from Diebold before the next election in '06. If Diebold is to be installed anywhere it has to spit out a paper ballot with your choices marked on it. Anything less is turning this Country over to the enemy.

Posted by Judith at November 26, 2005 06:24 AM

Even paper backups won't work, and here is why: Paper ballots would not be counted unless a recount is triggered when the vote total could go either way because of a minute spread, OR obvious fraud is committed. If one is controlling the vote tallies at a district level, all you have to do, say, if the trigger is 1%, is to make sure the spread is greater than 1% -- and the RECOUNT NEVER HAPPENS. The paper ballots are not manually counted under scrutiny and compared to the computer counted votes.

And this is beyond the maddening fact that Americans don't understand computers, cheating, or how to avoid this mess. The persistent idiocy I always hear from officials or reporters is the "print a receipt to take home with you" concept. Hair. Pull. Out. Receipts are useless! Paper ballots must be printed for each vote, shown the the voter, and placed in a ballot box.

Here's a simple fix for the recount trigger problem: random manual recounts for every election. IF even ONE of the races turn up as fixed, the lid is blown and we go back to hand counts.

Diebold has fought a manual recount system so ferociously that (Occam's Razor) they have indeed fixed elections.

Good morning folks,

I hope everyone had as peaceful a Thanksgiving as I did.

I don't think I need to remind Apollyon that the investigation of who was responsible for the White House CIA leak is still continuing along with the prosecution of Libby. But I do think I need to remind him that blowing the cover of a CIA agent is serious business. He probably is unaware that there are still 35 unnamed covert agents on the CIA Memorial Wall who died in the service of their country and remain anonymous in death to this very day. No doubt the thugs and criminals in the White House never gave a thought that national security and the safety of an agent, her family, her contacts, her livelihood might be more important than political revenge.

As I said I had a tranquil Thanksgiving and I'm looking forward to a quiet holiday season but it is a mystery to me how anyone connected to the outing of Valerie Plame and responsible for the the "war" in Iraq can know a moment's peace.

All the best,
Bob

Good article on Al-Jazeera News.
http://firedoglake.blogspot.com/

First off, Al-Jazeera isn't some dodgy cable access show you can only pick up with enough tinfoil and the right atmospheric conditions, it has a viewership of some 45 million people. They are the network who just signed Sir David Frost for their English language news channel set to launch next spring. They are also the network who recently hired ex-Marine Josh Rushing (above, he of The Control Room), who seems to have a bit more faith in the ultimate value of the message of democracy than some of his wingnuttier critics.

I have been reading Al-Jazeera for about two years now. One thing is clear, if it is on Al-Jazeera News, it might or might not be in our MSM at some later date. They seem to be very current in their news reporting.

Sorry, the first paragraph is a quote from the article.

Remember Katrina, the storm the government would have you forget i.e. FEMA isn't getting better.

Judith: I have been reading Al-Jazeera for two years. For those in Wingnutia, the quote is "know thine enemy". For the rest of us, it's a view of the world the Administration would prefer you never have.

Libby will be walking all right...crutches free, when his leg heals up, not because his indictment will go away!

Posted by bbtb at November 26, 2005 09:51 AM

Hello.

Oh Georgie, I never knew it could be like this.

And I really wish it wasn't, Ms. Coulter. Oh, hi Laura! Back so soon?

Posted by tempus at November 26, 2005 11:48 AM

Tempus, I have never read anything on Al-Jazeera that wasn't backed up by other news organizations around the world. The fact that Bush wanted to bomb them is because evil can't stand the light of truth.

This just in. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards is to marry Jenna Bush. No details are available, but Jenna is quoted as saying: "Paris, eat this, you cow!"

Posted by tempus at November 26, 2005 03:21 PM

Why does Jenna hate the Stones so?

Why does Jenna hate the Stones so?

She started to play guitar.

Posted by tempus at November 26, 2005 06:43 PM

I'm sure Jenna only likes country western pop music!

Posted by bbtb at November 26, 2005 07:33 PM

Nah - she's a C-rapper!

Posted by pessimist at November 26, 2005 08:13 PM

I had visions of bu$h scaring the hell out of the twins, while trying to drunkenly sing along to "Turd on the Run", from "Exile on Main Street".
