Comments: Cunningham to Plea for Mercy

At this rate the Dem's should be in the majority before th 06 elections.

Shall we say the Democrats do it too? And how long will it take for the goppers to start that serenade?

If we try to excuse this kind of behavior among "our own," any Democratic electoral gains will be very short-lived. If they're corrupt, let 'em hang.

this couldn't be happening to a bigger prick..cunningham is a typical criminal party loser...

Couldn't agree more, dj.

There is no excusing cunningham, even if I wanted to. And anybody else that engages in, what is the poster child definition of, this reprehensible behavior.

At the moment, all I see are goppers doing the crimes, as behooves the party in power, they own the strings, they get the bribes.

Hope this Bu$hCo rimjobber enjoys barebacking with his new room mates, Tyrone, Killer, and Jesus, at the Greybar Hotel. He'll have about 10 yrs to find out.

He was crying and thanking God at a press gathering on CNN a few minutes ago. Funny all these God-fearing Repugs are such crooks. What would Jesus say? Fuck them all.

Finally a corrupt goddamned GOP asswipe admitting the fucking truth.

Let's hope this percolates up to the White House.

Pretty sad.

The guy served his country with distinction during Vietnam and then sold his soul for filthy lucre.

This shit never ceases to amaze me.

It's like someone asking you would you cheat on your wife with a woman you've always had the hots for if there was no way anyone would find out. I'd always answer no because the thought of having to look my wife in the eye everyday with that knowledge would destroy me. And now he's all teary. Is he crying because he realizes what he did to the American people? Or because he got caught?

I really don't know how some of these guys, Republican or Democrat, live with themselves.

When you're a war hero, you either need to live up to that label, or stop using it. 40 years ago cunningham was a thug on our dime, did his job, then cashed in, and continued to cash in pretty much from the get go, near as I can tell, sponging off his wonderful record.

His actions sully every man and woman in uniform, and he should apologize to those who serve with honor or integrity or decency or efficiency, the overwhelming vast majority of those who serve.

But he's ALWAYS been a thug and a bully.

Pity the man?

No, he made his choices, who chose greed, he chose hate, he chose image over substance to cover his own cowardice.

Pity his family?

No, they wallowed in it too, and they knew.

Glee or joy at his fall?

Nope. Misery is nothing to find pleasure in. It's just right that justice is being served in some small measure.

Life is madeup of choices. You either do the right thing, or you don't. It's not complicated. Cunningham made his choices, and I am sure that he thought he would never be caught. After all, it was just business as usual by these criminals. The one thing all criminals have in common is arrogance. Personally, I love to see those who think they are above the law find out that's not necessarily true. Pride comes before the fall.

This is no longer an "ongoing investigation", so can we expect to hear from Scotty? Or will he be silent like the Muslums on terrorism that he complains about?
