Iraq's own Vice President said today that the Iraqi security forces are actually going backwards the last six months because they are being used more and more to settle political scores than they are to fight insurgents.
Also correct me if I'm wrong, they seem to be getting blown up at a fairly rapid clip also.
I mean at 10-20 a day, how soon before we run out of potential recruits?
Just askin
Posted by SnarkyShark at December 5, 2005 09:59 AMSnarky, here's another question: would they still be getting blown up if US forces left? We basically use them as cannon fodder and to serve as coal mine canary's. "Walk over there Fahid, see if there is a funny package by the road"
Posted by T2 at December 5, 2005 10:27 AMIf anybody really thinks the neo-cons are ever going to leave Iraq they are only fooling themselves. We are there for the duration. It would be easier if they just went ahead and made Iraq the 51st state.

Posted by James at December 5, 2005 12:57 PMYep, might as well starting demanding English be taught in all those schools we've been building over there.

Posted by BiteyDog at December 5, 2005 05:19 PMI think liberals should'nt get caught defending an Iraqi Vice President...these guys (Iraqis) have agendas we haven't begun to understand...We know W is full of sh*t but I think it's better to "pretend" to believe him...or better yet, just don't acknowledge this crap about troop levels and ask for results, not vapored battalions...
