They interviewed a family who's daughter had been kidnapped and threatened with rape and murder, if her family didn't comply with the kidnappers demands. They complied, the girl was returned -- but the family killed her anyway, on the mere possibility of her having had sex.
The girl's father and brother were unable to do the deed, so her Iraqi police officer cousin shot her with his service revolver.
When men and boys are kidnapped, their release is a cause for celebration; when women and girls are released, they bring shame and humiliation on the family, which can only be cleansed by an honor killing.
Think about it -- the very act of arresting a woman and taking her to Abu Ghraib is a death sentence . . .
