So Stalinesque. Dad criticized Bush. Obviously, this can't be a valid criticism. So Dad must be . . . stupid? No, that's not right. Evil? No. Demented? Yeah, that's the ticket.
Posted by Raenelle at December 12, 2005 07:10 AMOnce again, Chris Wallace shows that he is the first in his family to exhibit signs of senility in public.
Posted by (: Tom :) at December 12, 2005 07:48 AMWhat an appalling turd. Simply incredible.
Dad isn't just entitled to his (quite rational) views on Bush; no, he has to be declared mentally incompetent.
By his son.
This is a pretty vicious group of thugs.
Posted by euzoius at December 12, 2005 08:26 AMHow terribly sad. Mike Wallace has forgotten more about investigative reporting than Chris will ever learn. Chris is a light weight, while his Father is/was taken seriously by people. At least Mike searched for truth. Chris, on the other hand, can only repeat the lies feed to him by this Government. I cannot imagine the hurt that Mike must feel, but evidently Chris is not a son first and a political pundit second. I suppose that in the far-right world, turning against one's father is required if not admired.
Posted by Judith at December 12, 2005 08:28 AMThe Nazis preached to the jungen that it was required by the party to turn in one's parents if said parents were critical of the party.
Lil' Chris is just being a good Nazi. No surprise here.
Posted by God Of War at December 12, 2005 09:01 AMSadly, this is the result of a son who is overwhelmed by his Dad's enormous shadow. I also think he is living in the Faux not the News delusional world of self importance. This is not a rational response but an emotional knee jerk reaction. Just take a step back and compare the two. Dad and impeccable reputation for his non partisan, no nonsense take down, confrontational style and Son has a reputation of being loyal lacky to the right wing. I'm sure Mike Wallace had a knowing smile on his face when he heard of his son's jealous little boy retort that his daddy is a crazy old man. Baw Wawwww.
Posted by ED Beckmann at December 12, 2005 09:13 AMChris Wallace? Never heard of him. Sounds like it'll be an entertaining holiday season at the Wallace household though.
Posted by Alex my dog at December 12, 2005 09:46 AMIf you've followed Howard Dean and John Kerry the past week, you know the more they speak, the more they retract and have to restate. Like Mike Wallace, anger has gotten the best of them. They're speaking in hate, they're not thinking clearly, and after inserting foot in mouth, they have a Malox moment.
Mike Wallace seems extremely bitter that his world view hasn't been adopted by the majority of Americans. No doubt he's frustrated.
Posted by muckdog at December 12, 2005 10:00 AMWow puppyboy....um you seem to forget (senility or willful ignorance puppyboy, yes it appears you've checked out of here...definitely need that mental competency hearing for you) See the main gist of the post was about a son making a serious public allegation against his father...a father who has more credibility and class in his little finger than his son plus you together.
Yes Chris Wallace....ever so concerned about his father's mental competence and well being. Yes so what does a loving son do about it, he disparages and makes fun of him on National tv. Way to show your concern and compassion for you Dad Chris, make fun of him in public... Effing Disgraceful Loser.
Chris, you don't agree with your father...he doesn't agree with you...it happens all the time in families...it doesn't mean he isn't mentally unfit but it means you are a loser for not realizing the difference.
Posted by emal at December 12, 2005 10:24 AMBad Muckydog Bad!
It seems you have been eating you own poop again!I think is time to put you back in you cage. Bad Boy!
So much for genetics. I wonder if Mike can trade Jr. for Ron Reagan. He was at least correct in declaring his father senile.

Fuckhog, its your worldview that is being roundly rejected.
Stupid shiteater. I told you before that eating shit was bad for your mind, but you just keep on scarfing down the shitpies.

Posted by tempus at December 12, 2005 11:25 AMWallace is on one side of the political divide and his father is on the other. It's not that unusual.

Not unusual at all. What is unusual is for a son to call for a competency hearing because his father has different views than him.

Especially when said father is held in exponentially higher prestige.
People should keep their dirty laundry out of the public.
Like the Bush's!
Posted by snark at December 12, 2005 02:04 PMChris Wallace will NEVER be the man that his Father is. Without his Father, he would be working for some small radio station in tinbucktwo.
Posted by Judith at December 12, 2005 03:22 PM
What can you do with these old men raised in the tradition of liberal democracy?
If it was'nt for Bush and Wallace seniors, Chris and W would be cleaning windshields on the off-ramp. Bush would be the one holding the Windex upside-down.

1) I doubt a hearing would be granted on those grounds, and
2) can you show those were, in fact, the grounds?
