Comments: Abramoff Will Plead Guilty To Three Counts And Cooperate

Dude looks like your average Repub puke.

How utterly unsurprising.

Well, we shall see how long it's the Democrats fault when indictments of Republicans begin sometime this year. At some point, people have got to realize that the indictments are because Republicans did something illegal. Happy New Year to all those who thought they had gotten by with something. One lesson you all should have remembered - THERE IS NEVER HONOR AMONG THIEVES.

Don't get too excited. Let's remember that all this is being run by Bu$hco's DOJ. Federal prosecutors know what will happen to them if they go too far.

Protestations to the contrary, I think Repubs know that Delay is too tainted to continue now...and a lot of them don't like him anyway, and don't want him back in a leadership position.

Looks like Ney of Ohio is going down pretty quickly in this. I think this move is designed to keep people from throwing tomatos at the windows of Gonzales office. If they were going to give Abramoff a deal, they had to get something in return pretty quickly.

My guess is that they'll offer up Ney first and then maybe Delay as a sacrificial lamb in this deal...and the rest of the deal will include whatever democrats Abramoff touched. I'm guessing that's the extent of this whole thing.

We'll see Ney get indicted shortly, then maybe Delay will take a hit (good riddance), and after that we'll see three or four Democrats accused and two or three indicted. Ney and Delay soon...with the dems getting indicted closer to the 2006 elections. Repubs will be back running on a law and order plank..."see, we cleaned up Washington, even when it was some of our own, but look the Dems were as bad or worse."

Remember, Karl Rove and Darth Cheney are still in charge in D.C. Don't think for a minute the Bush DOJ has any intention of bringing down a boat load of Repubs in this.

And Karl will use it to make Democrats look worse...mark my words.

Rove and Cheney have screwed the pooch, and the pooch is fucking pissed about it.

Its gonna bite them in the ass.

Dec. 13-22, 2005 - AOL
Five members of Congress -- Rep. Ernest Istook, R-Okla.; Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan.; Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont.; Sen. Conrad Burns, R-Mont.; and Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D. -- return or give away campaign donations they received from Abramoff.

My question is how can you return money and then say I'm innocent?

Bjohnm, the media has been talking about two dozen politicians being indicted. How can you only indict two or three, and then say that's it?

I will be shocked if more than a half dozen politicians are indicted. Probably that many more will have to resign in disgrace, though.

If they aren't indicted, they won't resign "in disgrace." They will have to be booted out by the electorate.

Ga6thDem is correct, with the tolerence this electorate has shown lately, most in congress have no reason to fear punishment by the voters.
Heck, half the country wants to trust Bush with absolute power. If I were a politican on the take, I would fear the law more than I would the sheeple known as voters.

"...and cooperate?"

What if he wasn't planning on cooperating? Then what? Just let him keep doing this?

Talk about a monkey!

See ya,
