Comments: Spying on Americans

Quakers. Every time I hear someone raving about wiretapping Quakers, I get such a kick out of it. Why would anyone wiretap the Quakers?

Why would anyone wiretap the Quakers?

Someone is just feelin' their oats.

*****

Perhaps you should posit that question to this administration which you so ardently admire.

Yeah, those ecoterrorists are bad news compared to the absolutely dozens of arrests of rightwing extremists in this Southern Poverty Law Center report.

Fucking FBI....

Our taxdollars spent spying on those who would oppose Halliburton's war profiteering? Basically, you mean that our taxdollars were spent to protect the financial interests of the Vice President? I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked. But that's enough moral outrage to actually resonate with the voting public. They don't like it when their money is spent to enrich those who they elected.

Maybe someone is trying to find out why the Quakers won't update that oatmeal box with a more up to date picture.

Posted by avaroo at January 22, 2006 05:27 PM

Q: What do you call an up to date Quaker?

A: A Unitarian.

McCain and other repubs keep "ramming home" the point that representation in Iraq MUST be spread out more equally for that government to have any chance of "working". But in the U.S., it is perfectly O.K. for ONE party to control all branches of government, including the courts , and spy on whomever they wish, without a warrant. Buy stock in anal laser surgery clinics, they should do well over the next 3 years.

They're spying an avaroo, I'm sure of it. They want to know if their creature lives. He is proof to them that to make neo-cons you just have to remove what little exists of the morality areas from the frontal lobe of an axe murderers brain.

Yeah, 60 Minutes was wondering the same thing.

These fucking so called brave minutemen come to AZ in April, May, Oct. and Nov. Arizona's best months for weather! Let's see these fucks out here for a full summer in June, the Monsoons of July and August and Sept. They cowardly disappear, their so called patriotism only goes as far as what they can handle heat wise. You won't find the immigrants giving up so easily, they are willing to die in the desert heat for a chance at a better life.
I say the minutemen shouldn't bitch if they do not have the same perseverance as the immigrants.

Phidipides, that's the old clever person I missed.

The "Society of Friends" believes in the strict separation of church and state, which should qualify them for a Rove-spy-on order. William Penn and George Fox would turn over in their graves.

If the minutemen were about patriotism, they'd be in Iraq. They're racists.

Posted by ann at January 22, 2006 08:28 PM

and they were always known as racists.
