Comments: Who's Doing Osama's Bidding?

What did the $1 trillion and 2200 lives achieve? Why is osama still "PUNKING" bush and the U.S. in front of the world?

Posted by smooth at January 23, 2006 12:14 AM

Mary, You hit the neo right on the head. On 9-11, INSIDE the copy of "My Pet Goat", was Bin Laden's marching orders: George, If you are reading this, the attack has started. WAIT at least 7 minutes, to give the 4th plane a shot at the White House. As promised, you will have unlimited access to 72 virgins, who are immune from headaches. See you on the other side,Osama. P.S. Don't forget to torture the prisoners.

Posted by TIKI AL at January 23, 2006 12:19 AM

Then there's that little matter of removing all US troops from Saudi Arabia.... That was high on the Osama-to-GW list of things To Do.

Posted by vicki at January 23, 2006 02:40 AM

I think that Bush & Co. are feeing OBL his talking points; he's been captured and is not a happy boy.

Posted by joseph at January 23, 2006 04:49 AM

Gleen Greenwald (btw-one of my newly discovered favorite bloggers)makes an interesting comparison and commentary regarding this whole winger argument. He notes that Saddam Hussein has taken up George Bush's talking points in his defense against enemies of the state...the similarity of the two is amazing. It's in a post from yesterday (need to scroll down the page to find it) and worth a read. And he hits the nail on the head about how infantile wingers are in their never ending quest to lower the level of discourse yet once again.

Lastly, what I want to know, why has Junior failed miserably to capture/destroy bin Laden, therefore allowing OBL to even spout any talking points 4+ years later.

Posted by emal at January 23, 2006 04:55 AM

And since I am sick and tired of the Democrats=bin Laden inference from idiot republicans who can't capture or destroy Al Qaeda, and since the only thing that whiney republicans understand is talking just like them... I will take what Mr. Greenwald exposed and use it in a direct attack against them.

-Since Bushco claims Hussein=Al Qaeda/bin Laden=9/11
-And now Mr. Greenwald exposed that Hussein=Bushco

therefore:

-Hussein=Bushco=AlQaeda=9/11.

See how easy this game is.

Here's another

-Democrats=AlQaeda/Bin Laden=Hussein=Bushco
-Democrats=Bushco

It's stunningly all beginning to make perfect sense;~P

Did I read somewhere that Osama worked for our CIA at one time?

The CIA provided aid and training to Osama in his fight against the Russians in Afghanistan. Can you say "Frankenstein?"

BTW, I'm beginning to entertain the thought that perhaps Bendito, Crappy, and the other trolls around here might be linked to Al Qaida, as they persistently demonize champions of liberty and shill for theocrats and traitors.

Posted by God Of War at January 23, 2006 06:05 AM

In his blog yesterday, James Kroeger explained what Osama Bin Laden is really up to with his latest taped message.

Once again, the idiots who run this country have shown that they don't understand their enemy, what their enemy is up to, or why.

Incompetent jerks.

Incompetence. Look at his track record. Examine his entire life. He always snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

I thought from their posts everyone could tell they probably are terrorists. I wish the NSA would get on those guys...if they haven't already.

It's strange that whenever Bin Laden emerges, his timing and his statements so inerrantly serve the Republican agenda.

Just as Bush was getting squashed about warrantless spying, a new Bin Laden tape emerges that supports Bush's warnings about terrorism. It's very much like the Bin Laden tape that emerged in the days before the 2004 election that actually served the Republican's agenda by placing Democrats in a negative light.

Very peculiar indeed...

If Bush gets rid of our freedoms, will OBL stop hating us?

Posted by pwapvt at January 23, 2006 07:38 AM

I refuse to insult the resident trolls, they can't possibly believe the nonsensical crap that they spew. The economy is bad, despite the Bushco propaganda to the contrary, and the trolls need the money they are being paid by the White House to feed their kids. And so he spake: "forgive them, for they know not what they do".P.S. How much are Quaker meeting locations going for?

Posted by Judith at January 23, 2006 07:51 AM

Nero Jr was Osama's dream come true, for the reasons you explain.

The 2004 message was unquestionably calculated to aid Nero's election victory, and it did.

Osama wants US forces to remain in the Iraq quagmire; he wants our middle eastern oil policy clearly exposed to muslims; he wants Arab Islam stirred up over the West's exploitation of Arabian oil reserves.

Nero's foolish invasions, endlessly bellicose language, "stay the course" idiocy, childish sabre rattling at Syria and Iran, and creation of a new Shi'ite theocracy all dovetail nicely with Al Qaeda's world view and rhetoric that Islam is engaged in a battle of civilizations with the West.

Further, Nero's disastrous administration has alienated our closest allies, turned our image in the world to permanent shit, is in the process of destroying our fiscal position and economy for several generations, and has polarized America into a permanently and bitterly divided country, where we spend our days arguing with each other over whether our most basic civil liberties, not to mention our form of government, should be jettisoned as a result of the Worre on Terra.

In short, Nero Jr is foolishly squandering America's financial, moral and institutional capital at incredible rates, weakening our country and society wherever one looks. With a bit more than half the country cheering him on with each new folly and outrage he proposes or undertakes.

What's not to like?

Saddam was the most secular muslim leader (dictator)in the Arab world. Therefore he was a thorn for BinLaden and such Muslim Fundamentalists. By removing Saddam, Bush and Co did a big favor to BinLaden and his movement. If Bush and Co were smart, they could have bought Saddam for much less than what we are spending and turned him against BinLaden. Just like what we did when we wnted to punish Iran. Saddam harrased Iran with an eight year war with US support including WMDs.

If we would have offered to help him get rid off the UN sanctions on Itaq, he would have gone to bat for US against BinLaden and it would not have cost 2200 lives, thousands of disabled young men and women and Billions of dollars per week that we can use for education, health care and a lot of things for our own people.

suresh: Yes, we had a 900 pound gorilla in a terror-proof box, and yes he could have been bribed like a bandwidth wasting troll, to get Bin Laden-Saddam style. Yet this concept was too brilliant for the born-again fundy mind to grasp, allowing history to take a dark turn for the U.S., and the few allies that got sucked in

I appreciate your sentiment, but you're missing the point, my friend: Its all about gettin' paid.

Getting Osama this way wouldn't get Halliburton et al paid.

Follow the money...it will lead you to the heart of the truth.

Posted by God Of War at January 23, 2006 09:26 AM

So if Osama expresses an opinion, a "good Republican" must automatically disagree with him because if Osama happens to agree with you on something you must immediately renounce that opinion.

Wow. Think of all the devastation Osama can reap on American Republicans by simply announcing lists of things which he endorses.

For example, Osama opposes gay marriage.

Uh oh. What is he taking his marching orders from Rick Santorum, James Dobson and President Bush?

I mean, read the list of the things that that fundamentalist Osama supports. Republicans had better immediately run to the other side of each and every one of this issues for fear of the dreaded "Osama agrees with me" curse.

Did you know that Hitler believed in gravity too?

Posted by JR at January 23, 2006 09:34 AM

I think suresh is indisputably correct---"rehabilitating" Saddam as a US ally and using Iraq's intelligence network/sources would have been an enormous help in exterminating Al Qaeda.

But having a chance to get dominant and perhaps virtual control of the second largest oil reserves on earth outweighed enlisting the help of Saddam's Iraq in the Worre on Terra.

Hence, our oil addiction (and US oil industry profits) were more important than crushing Osama and Al Qaeda.

Future historians will have a field day with this era.

Posted by euzoius at January 23, 2006 09:38 AM

There is a reason the air smells of pee after an Osama
tape pours down - from his undisclosed location.

And the downpours always happen conveniently occur when Bush's political fortunes are nose-diving or there is a need for a major distraction

I've ceased believing in Osama rain . The forecast are just a bit predictable for me ; unless you are willing to believe Osama has some compelling desire to help W , the wet stuff ain’t rain .

euzoius: could be about oil
God Of War: could be about Halliburton
BUT, after watching this moron belch at the podium, what if it was to "out-do" Daddy, and get back for the Saddam threat on Daddy? We are dealing with a simple fundy mind here, maybe Cheney (who invaded for BOTH of your reasons), sold it to the Pretzeldunce in a way even he could understand. Still think Sadaam could have been hired as Bin Laden exterminator.

Posted by TIKI AL at January 23, 2006 12:41 PM

there's a reason for the conveniant timing.Bin Laden is either a CIA operative,or he is purely manufactured by Cheney&Co.It's possible that they never let Bush in on it because he is pretty stupid but 9/11 was an inside job. There's no way planes hitting the tops of those towers brought them all the way down. Plane fuel burns out too quickly and after only an hour, those massive buildings with their steel foundations simply were not hot enough.People were still alive in there. How could steel collunms be melting? 9/11 was created not only so Cheney&Co could have their wars but also to subvert our government and constitution.9/11=Reichstag Fires

Posted by brunhilde at January 23, 2006 06:55 PM

Oops Okay Let clarify that .I was trying to say that the only way those towers could have been brought down into their own footprints was through controlled demolition, which has to be planned ahead of time. The more one lookes into the inconsistancies of the official story the more absurd it seems.Anyway this new bin Laden forgery is cleverly being used against bush critics to paint them as "giving comfort to the enemy and certain news org.are towing the line

Posted by at January 23, 2006 07:10 PM

You are perfectly clear .
Notice how none of the MSM will touch David Ray Griffin’s books. His analysis is so radioactive they won’t even mention him to disparage him .
