Comments: The Post Finally Thinks The Abramoff Cover-Up Is A Big Deal

The Sunnis and Kurds can't impeach a Shite president, so I guess Bush has achieved his goal of installing an American democracy in Iraq. So what if Bush took a billion from Jackoff, who is going to do anything about it? I hope the upcoming pictures show Bush, Gannon, and Jackoff in a 3-way.

"I hope the upcoming pictures show Bush, Gannon, and Jackoff in a 3-way."

Well TIKI, the MSM would just ignore it, unless you want to throw Clinton into the 3-way. Now that would be an attention getter.

Steve, That comment should be placed in the "Stupid Trolls" section! Toby wants us to give Abramoff and the associates a mulligan! Can you imagine the cheating that went on with that foursome playing golf together, Abramoff, Ney, Safavian and Reed?

I heard that Abramoff was trying to peddle his own pictures of him and bu$h to Time. Anybody got a link?

The WH should pony up what they know about Abramoff. If they've done nothing wrong, why should they withhold information? Same thing with the Katrina documents - if they did nothing wrong, what are they trying to hide? It's that simple.

I think Reid needs to shut down the senate again to get these a**holes attention. No one should discuss anything until these two matters get resolved.

Ann, You really can't be serious, can you? This administration has hidden everything and anything from the American people. They are the most arrogant White House ever. They think they are above the law, above reproach. They will fight disclosure every step of the way. Plain and simple they don't know the meaning of honesty or integrity!

"They think they are above the law, above reproach."

Bbtb guess what. THEY ARE.

bbtb, I am serious. Shut down the senate. Don't let anything get done. I know they've lied and misled and obfuscated every step of the way. I'm just sick of it and it's stupid. Emails during Katrina can't be released? Give me a break. Were there some racial epithets in those emails? Cost benefit analysis of letting the poor die? Joementum better subpoena their asses.

Joementum better subpoena their asses.

If there were a few more Jews involved, maybe he'd really press the issue. Wrong skin color though.

Believe me I want the same thing, it's the only time we can ever get attention to the issues that matter to over 1/2 the people. Then the press covers all the negative attention the Democrats are doing. I say it's better than no attention!
A sad route to follow but we must!!

"Were there some racial epithets in those emails? Cost benefit analysis of letting the poor die?"

Ann, probably right on both counts. I still can't get the image of Browny having dinner while thousands were in need.

So the WaP0 finally got religion huh?
I noticed quite a bit of Bush bashing there today. I'd stopped reading them till today.
Nothing like an angry fringe of left wing radicals to call them on thier bs. I guess they're listening, for now....

By the way, iamcoyote, has the link to Abramoff trying to peddle his pictures over at Low and Left.

Don't we have a law preventing felons from benefiting from their own crimes? Seems Abramoff shouldn't be able to profit from selling these pictures.

Also, since Abramoff pleaded guilty, could Bush pardon him?

If it can be proved that Jack Abramoff corrupted even one member of the Democratic Party, then what is it that makes this thing a "Republican scandal"?

I hear Senator Pantsuit and Pelosi and certain of the others talking up this "Republican culture of corruption" stuff and it sounds like the makings of a thematic or narrative approach to depicting the opposition, but then you realize that there are also dirty Democrats and you wind up with yet another handful of nothing.

Y'all have blown too much capital trying to make Bush the Younger out to be a tyrant. The American People ---despite the unhealthy and unwarranted interest in polls around here--- aren't buying this stuff and y'all are getting stuck with a rep as a party of snipers and crybabies.

Give me someone with some balls who knows what he (or she) believes in beyond just hating this President.

It would probably have to be a Southerner, though. Demographics say no more Northern liberals for y'all. Probably never again (unless HRC absolutely catches fire).
