Rewriting history. Isn't that an old Soviet trick?
Posted by rlp at January 26, 2006 01:39 PMThis is like a college volleyball player stating she's never heard of Facebook, never posted a profile, & never uploaded several pictures of herself drunk and breaking her athletic scholarship contract.
Posted by idiosynchronic at January 26, 2006 01:40 PMBush, I don't know Ken Lay even if I flew on his plan and he was my biggest contributor.
Bush, I don't know Jack A even if he was on my transition team and raised over 100,000 for me.
Bush, I know Saddam has WMD's, It is legal to wiretap US citizens without warrants,Iraq and Bin Laben work together.
What ever he says the opposite is true.
Posted by Goose1 at January 26, 2006 01:54 PMI hope 6 months from now, a cum stained photo appears, hermetically sealed so all can implicate the lying bastard!
Posted by bbtb at January 26, 2006 01:54 PMThey don't need pictures, just Jackoff's dental records to compare with the marks on W's dick.
Posted by TIKI AL at January 26, 2006 02:12 PMIsn't that an old Soviet trick?
If it had been Bush, Abramoff AND Condi in the photos Bush would gone to the trouble of having Abramoff removed from the photo instead of making it disappear entirely. ;)
Posted by snark at January 26, 2006 02:23 PMImagine, if you will, the actual consequences of this crap: there are photographs out there of George W. Bush and Jack Abramoff. Okay. The usual weekly suspects are looking to put them pictures on the covers of their magazines. Let them. Is that what it boils down to? The money shot? People who think Bush is a dirty thief are going to keep thinking that whether there's pictures of Bush and Abramoff together or not. People who have the intellectual maturity to understand that politicians have their photographs taken many tens of thousands of times with many tens of thousands of people they do and do not know are not going to think anything less of Bush for that. Who cares? It is evidence of nothing, except the anti-Bush liberals' increasingly desperate and low-brow need to slag the President.
It's mindless. Find something important to attack Bush on. But not the war. The Minority Leader says the war's too divisive, so best to stay away from it.
Posted by Toby Petzold at January 26, 2006 03:00 PMTo have known, and to have not known, that is the question. To know what's knowable, to know what's unknowable. To not know that which is not knowable. Can it be more inscrutable? I don't know, it's hard work.
Ya know?
Posted by Flamethrower at January 26, 2006 03:01 PMToby, No one ever tried to say bad things about Clinton did they. If the pictures aren't a big deal why get rid of them. Your antibush crap is getting old.
Posted by Goose1 at January 26, 2006 03:13 PMAll I did was put photo, in place of dress and see how Toby reacts!
I did like his play on words with, "The money shot?"
Posted by bushblowsturdblossom at January 26, 2006 03:23 PMthe photo seems like a red herring. jackoff was on bush's transistion team!. he was a big fundraiser for bush! who cares about a "grip and grin"?
Posted by benjoya at January 26, 2006 04:41 PMWhat ever he says the opposite is true.
It's the Bizarro administration.
And "not relevant" is the Repug talking point. Josh Marshall said that the woman at the photo agency said that the photo was "not relevnat", then later in the afternoon on the news I heard that the administration said that the photos are "not relevant."
Photos: RELEVANT
Posted by LizDexic at January 26, 2006 05:46 PMLiz, don't be such a clown: even Bob Shrum was on Loudmouth Matthews' show tonight, saying these [potentially devastating photos] are worth nothing to nobody.
Posted by Toby Petzold at January 26, 2006 06:14 PMYes, but making the Bush administration look so petty that they would actively seek out such photos, photos that everyone knows are meaningless, and destroy them....
Priceless!
Posted by snark at January 26, 2006 06:35 PMLet's not play crazy here. The whole deal is about image and managing reality.
Point One:
The Bush people have capitalized on intellectually lazy and ignorant U.S. citizens. Why else would some of the trolls post the garbage and lies they post here. They hear the talking points and repeat them. The people bush criminals "hoodwinked" for decades will see the pictures and make the association without thinking or reading the story. They know the phenomenom they have exploited.
Point Two:
The bush criminals are protected because republicans don't give a shit about the United States. The republicans are only concerned about screwing the public for special interest. The republicans will never hold the bush people accountable for their crimes. The "Libby" issue got their attention. Groups from all over the spectrum are now raising questions about "domestic spying". The Bush criminals saw what happen when "Jackoff" was tied to the "bug criminal". Clearly, it would be the kiss of dealth for the bush criminals.
Point Three:
"jackoff" is a republican ranger (> $100,000 contributor) and bush doesn't know him? jackoff is not just another person bush took shared a picture. I guess you have to be real stupid to buy most of the republican talking points.
He didn't know Lay (Kenny Boy), he didn't know anything about Plamegate (Libby,Rove), he didn't pay attention to warnings(Osama to strike in US), he had bad intelligence on Iraq so he didn't know there was no WMD, he didn't know Chalabi (sat behind his wife), he didn't know Katrina was going to break the levees (report to WH said otherwise), he doesn't know Jack A.........Bush doesn't know much of anything, apparently. But he is a great liar and frontman, and really, that's all he has to be. With the Media on his payroll, it's a great liefe.
Posted by T2 at January 26, 2006 06:49 PMImagine is everything, and Bush knows it. Why do you think we can't see pictures of the dead soldiers? Pictures of Bush and Abramoff may not be that important, but they are important enough for this WH to keep them from the American people. Did anyone consider that maybe the pictures are not just Bush and Abramoff hand shaking? What if one of the pictures are of the two of them in a much more friendly situation, such as playing golf together.
Posted by Judith at January 26, 2006 09:24 PMToby, why the fuck would any self-respecting Democrat who wants to win elections ever give a shit about anything Bob Shrum has to say? Is that the best you can do?
Posted by Steve Soto at January 26, 2006 10:52 PMLiz, don't be such a clown: even Bob Shrum was on Loudmouth Matthews' show tonight, saying these [potentially devastating photos] are worth nothing to nobody.
Toby: perhaps you have never been exposed to English diction. The double negatives at the end of your sentence mean the exact opposite of what I believe you were trying to convey. Night school is relatively cheap, and in your case, definitely necessary.
Steve,
You must be drawing blood. Look at the hysteria Toby is putting forth. LOL!
I very rarely miss my mark, tempus. I very deliberately, although purposelessly, chose that double negative. But thanks for the pedantry.
Posted by Toby Petzold at January 27, 2006 02:51 PMSteve, Bob Shrum has been a major player in Democratic Party politics for decades now. I'm supposed to go by your grading system of acceptable mouthpieces before I might trot him out and beat on him like the election-losing pinata he is?
You're taking all the fun out of this!
