It doesn't get more important than this. If Bloggers can unite to get the word out and make the fillabuster happen we're on our way to being heard!

Democracy at work. Ain't it something?!

I wonder where the trolls are?

If they have a conscience of any form, if there is one shred of humanity and decency left in their shriveled hearts, if there is one iota of concern for future generations, they will join in this and help us filibuster Alito. This is not a party-line vote. Filibustering Alitio is a vote for good and decency to return to America. It's a vote for a return to sanity. If the neo-cons help us I am sure their fundamentalist God will stop the natural disasters that are befalling this fair land (and we all know God is doing this stuff because he is pissed at THEM).

L.B.J. appointed Abe Fortas to the Supreme Court in 1965. In 1969 he tried to replace Earl Warren, with Fortas as chief justice. Republican filibuster shot down the nomination, so history says it can be done. Oops, I forgot, donkey balls are smaller than elephant BALLS.

Ignore the trolls, this is what they've been swarming about, trying to distract and demoralize everyone. I decided yesterday, I'm going to come out fighting, but not with them. I've called and faxed my Senators, and I'm going to do it again tomorrow and Monday and Tuesday. Let's make some noise, dammit!

And if you need inspiration, read Rude Pundit's call to arms. Atrios has an interesting set of choices that might help make up your mind to start calling some senators.

Eh, it's going thumbs up or thumbs down to the Senate. I think most Democrat Senators see this as an opportunity to polarize the public for the mid-term elections. They don't really care about the Court.

Firedoglake has a nice list of phone numbers to call that's being updated as new numbers come in.

iamcoyote, you are surely a patriot.

Thanks Anon and Iamcoyote. Consider it done.

The trolls are just sitting back and enjoying the spinning wheels inside of the rat cage. That little booger is just running as fast as he can, he really thinks he's going some where and going there fast.

Then he stops, looks around and sees that he hasn't gone anywhere, so what does he do? He turns around and runs back on the spinning wheel in the other direction.

So keep on running. I do admire the passion, albeit, mis-directed as it is.

Reminds me of when I went door to door with my 3 year old and 1 year old for Newt Gingrich back in 1989.... that was a close race, almost lost it.

Eastern Airlines went belly up and they blamed Newt....The number of people that used fowl language and slammed doors in my face was astonding.

So keeping spinning that wheel, even if you don't go anywhere, its good for the old heart.

Did somebody say something?
Hearing voices again, or wait, that was taps being played for another dead soldier!!
Sorry, carpe, that's rude of you to interupt a soldier's funeral service!!

Let me see. They would be 19 and 17. Is it time to explain to them Newtie got caught fucking his Secretary on his desk in his congressional office? Or does only a blow job bother you, and not fucking? Newt's a hell of a roll model for your kids, especially since he would breed them in a heart beat. Yoiu need to drop them off in D.C. more often. They could make you a buck.

Wake up, everyone! Forget what the talking heads say today, let's make some more calls, and let our senators know we're out here and we're listening.

Everyone "cares about the court." That why Republicans have spent decades packing the court with right wing whacks like Judge David Bryan Sentelle or Appeals Court Judge Laurence Silberman. The problem is that some don't care enough. Others, rightwingers, look to the day the government is completely Republican and dissenters will be sent to gulags.

That would be the same Newt that dumped his first wife while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer and who was getting blowjobs from his staff assistant who became his third ? How did you explain that moral corruption to your children? Did you use porn movies to illustrate how Newt likes his bj's?

Georgians to carry on something else, don't they?
