To hate people who's only concern is for the welfare and survival of America and it's people (including you), is beyond my comprehension. If our posts are nothing but lying, hateful and filled with such ignorant comments then ignore us. The more you do, the less I guess we would come here, so some of you are correct, ignore us and we will go away. But I suspect a large percentage of you only feel alive when you are trying to defend your views about your world. To sit on your hands, goes against your inner instincts.
I come here mainly because I'm a political junkie. I love the dynamics of politics and of the psychology behind why we believe what we believe. No one but me is watching when I look in the mirror. By reading and writing on this post where I maintain some sort of anonimity, I can look in the mirror and 'reflect' on why I believe what I believe.
I see the delusional comments many, not all, but many on this server make. I either can assume you are all completely insane, which would be silly, or I can try and figure out how relatively intelligent people can come to such divergently different opinions. So I'm searching for my own truth by putting my ideas out there, and I enjoy that. I enjoy challenging you to answer the facts with facts. Rarely, but sometimes, you guys make the debate challenging, and that means there is hope. I've even re-thought my own processes too, but with the threats I've receieved, then some of my prior prejudices, i.e. liberals are bitter hate-filled punks, become edified.
As to Steve allowing me on. . . that is a paradox. I imagine the software prevents him from allowing this to occur, or maybe, just maybe, he is making a concerted effort at being consistent with his beliefs that freedom of speech includes those that might disagree with him. He enjoys hearing his own voice rather than merely being part of a large Chorus of voices. Steve's even acknowledged his own prior predictions that failed to come true, and he's been embarrassed by his own comments that were brought to light. So I sort of admire someone who is "out there" being willing to be scrutinized even by us "trolls".
If you are consistent about your complaints of inappropriate comments like those that disputer your world view, then when are you guys gonna chastize people like Dog of Whinning for making very specific and direct threats of physical harm? My "stupid" comments are worth banning but threats of violence are okay for Steve's blog?

Scroll past them, ignore the taunts, ignore the obvious lies designed to get you to respond, ignore the attempts to demoralize us. They do it because we allow it. The taunts will get more and more outrageous the more they get ignored - Do NOT be tempted, that's what they're trying to do. I know it's hard to let them get away with lying without being called on it: they know it, too, that's why they do it.

We talk also of our disagreements with President Bush and others that are in power.We welcome their thoughts and try to push them to make up their own minds on different issues. In other words, we have conversations with them. This is why Carpe and I come to this site, to have conversation and try to understand the other side. All we get is ugly and vile things said to us, such as the wish that carpe and my children would die in a car crash or such immature whinings about us being on their blog and wanting everyone to ignore us, as if we are on a school playground or something. We are all Americans and hopefully we all love this country. We should be able to have an actual conversation.
