We can only hope that history shows how deluded this country was by ShrubCo. We can also hope that by this time next year, it's looking like curtains for these assholes.
Posted by Scott at October 22, 2003 02:37 PMDuckman GR, I like your style. Some great links and some excellent commentary. A+ on this one. And I hope that is not just because you agree with me that Ashcroft is one weird dude who should not be in charge of our Department of Justice.
Last year I got to visit Rottenburg in Bavarian Germany. One of the more interesting places was the museum of Torture and Punishment. Personally I think that Ashcroft would fit right in to that society or maybe would be more at home in the Salem witch hunt days -- as the prosecutor. It is amazing to see the type of "talent" Bush has tapped for power and authority in his administration.
Posted by Mary at October 22, 2003 11:15 PMThanks Mary! "Talent" indeed.
When the Senate was going about confirming bush's Cabinet nominees the left targeted 4, Ashcroft, Norton, Abrahams, and the Labor Secretary. We got 1 out of 4, and that one should have been Ashcroft, because I can't imagine a worse choice. Robert Bork? At least he has a brain, true, it's warped and blackened, but it is a brain.
Weird? He makes J. Edgar look like Ward Cleaver.
