When will their defense be " By prosecuting libby you are helping the terrorist" I think that will be next.

So, just who would have such authority, or is this what it sounds like? "We're above the law."

Its what it sounds like. For the boy king, what fun is being the big cheese if you can't do what ever the hell you wan't?
Quit being such a peasent! /snark
Posted by SnarkyShark at February 23, 2006 02:50 PMIsn't it just a little too late to try this? I mean, if Fitz was unconstitutional, why would Scooter put himself through the trial in the first place?
Posted by ann at February 23, 2006 02:54 PMIt's the Twinkies...definitely too many Twinkies and DingDongs in the West Wing. It clouded his judgment, er memory, er sun glasses. Yeah, that's the ticket. IT WAS THE TWINKIES THAT MADE HIM DO IT! (Apologies to Messrs. Milk and Mosconi). (:>
Posted by Donald Cormac at February 23, 2006 03:43 PMSteve Clemons found out that there is a site asking the public to donate to the Libby’s fund for his legal defense!
Scooter Libby
What is interesting is that this site mentions that he was and assistant to Bush as well as the Chief of Staff and National Security Adviser to Vice President Cheney, therefore those 2 are guilty and that is why they agree to be question but not sworn in.
Next week comes the motion claiming that Fitzgerald has no authority because he is a space alien! And the request for the Government to produce the documents relating to Area 51.

Posted by Daryl at February 23, 2006 05:42 PMHey Steve, et all, I am convinced that Olbermann reads your blog for his material. Too many talking points come directly from you.
Good job.

Did you see the report that the Secret Service Agents said Cheney was Cheneyed-up when he shot Whittington? Anyone know the veracity of this report?
From the report: our report that secret service agents said Vice President Dick Cheney was drunk when he gunned down friend and lawyer Harry Whittington in a hunting "accident" last week.
The American people like bold men of action like Libby's defense team. They are going to make the wan, lip quivering judge rule on their motion. Libby was so busy with national security he plumb forgot about those conversations with reporters. Judge Walton better know that these bold men of action mean business. If he doesn't rule in their favor, they have no choice but to take a good, hard look at the judges wife to see if she is true blue American. They'll do it too. These are bold men of action.
