If Reagan was the teflon president, Busch is the shit smeared president (it's the best I can do with limited warning). All the shit thrown at him sticks, but he supporters like the smell of feces. So all is good in neo-con land.
But as muck says, we really need to get wages lower in the United States so we can compete. It appears that gone forever are the days when we could compete equally with other nations with our own economy, but it's odd that profits are so fucking high. And the only way to squeeze more profits out is to cut labor. And let's face it. Since American businesses are more profitable than at anytime in history, there is no need to move those profits to support labor --and that's the oddity. Why the fuck should they when they can keep it all and get more money by cutting more labor costs and claiming it's due to competition in the global economy?
