It's really amazing, isn't it?

I feel like I'm watching an episode of The Sopranos; everywhere I look, corruption, bribes, kickbacks, and hits.

seeing Duke Cunningham all but crying as he pleads forgiveness is a glorious as it is sickening. Here is the UltraAggressive Pro-War HardCore Right wing flagwaver finally getting what he deserves as a worthless public servant and crook, stealing money from the public to live like a king. Now he's a convicted felon, unable to vote ever again for a worthless joke like George Bush.

Cut Duke the same slack they cut Tookie.

Local San Diego TV saying Cunningham gets 10 years.....

Posted by at March 3, 2006 02:42 PM

He got 8 years. Or so reported CNN.

UltraAggressive Pro-War HardCore Right wing flagwaver

Add former Top Gun Naval Aviator - here's a mental image - a blubbering Tom Cruise.

The latest Walter Pincus article in WaPo
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/02/AR2006030201705.html
also details Intelligence connections related to Wade/Cunningham/Wilkes and MZM, specifically CIFA. Today on Lou Dobbs' roundtable at CNN, smarmy Ed Rollins, joining in on the slash-and-burn of the Bush administration, strongly hinted that, by summer, there will be several full-blown investigations of DoD contracting. Some of the MZM "executives" came out of the intell comunity, the DoD, and the Bush administration. It should be an interesting summer.

Laura had an interesting post back in December about the Foggo connection. Here were some more pieces I wrote based on what she had found and looking deeper into some of the connections:

Connecting the Crooks

Republican Money Laundering Connections

In the beginning of December, Josh thought that the three different scandals swirling around the Republicans would start to prove to be part of one gigantic connected cesspool.

Of course, the Iran-Contra scandal was swept under the rug. The drug running that underlied this and was part of Kerry's investigations in the 1980s was put into deep freeze. It could be the borg will never let this festering wound (an out-of-control government by secrecy) be lanced and healed. I think my biggest question continues to be is where is all the money going?

at the mopment, there really is only one key question here:

why did porter goss elevate kyle foggo to #3 in the cia?

that question really needs an answer

and fast.

Yeah! I love this thread, keep it going.

i've been lurking - but just to keep Jerry happy - here's my post from wednesday - linking in laura's work and larisa's work on goss.

mary - both of the links to your own posts go to the same place...

Posted by lukery at March 4, 2006 01:17 AM

lukery, you are definitely on top of this info. As an editor to the site, I was able to "fix" my link in place. I realized you were tracking this affair from down under in this post.

Other readers of this thread should check out lukery's post here. (I sure wish I had more time to follow up this stuff myself - too bad my job keeps asking me to do their stuff first. :-( ) Sure am glad that lukery is staying on top of this story.

Back in January TPM Cafe had a piece on the relationship between Wilkes and Foggo that included the allegation that Foggo may have been involved in getting Wilkes a contract to deliver bottled water to the CIA in Iraq. Pretty far a field from the high tech stuff that Wilkes various "storefront" pretended to develop and force upon the Department of Defense at the behest of Cunningham, Doolittle, Lewis, Harris, Goode and Hunter.

The link is here at Words Have Power.
