My suggestions:
1. Make this sucker as public as can be. Spew out Frist's bullshit tactics at every opportunity you can get. Pass down a memo to every member of Congress to repeat the threats of Frist so they can do the same.
IOW, make this sucker known to everyone, ESPECIALLY the public. The following mantra continues to ring true with this Administration and GOP every time: the more the public knows things behind their actions, the more they oppose them. Katrina, Social Security, UAE ports, Iraq, Schiavo, and on and on...
2. If Frist keeps threatening or looks like he will put it into action - shut down the fucking Senate completely. Or at the very least, slow everything to a crawl, exactly what Reid proposed to do back when Frist threatened to go "nukular".
The bottom line: Learn to be the party of opposition. Fight like hell. Don't take the foot off the fucking gas pedal. The grassrooters want a fight as well as the American public. They want the Democrats to show some fight in them. To me this is a perfect opportunity to show it.
But again, should all this come to fruition, will Reid be willing to step up to the plate for the rest of the Democrats and the American public?

They have to stand up soon because they are looking directionless. They fear standing up because it will re-unit the repugnicans to goose-step mode, and it will. It seems like a no win situation, but I'd rather lose with dignity than set by a let them distroy the country.
