Comments: Libby Will Receive Summaries Of PDB's For Plame Defense

Yes. Very clever.

As Larry Johnson notes: "They tried to creat a briar patch and were praying that the judge would toss Brer Libby into it. Looks like the judge has burned the briar patch down."

Scooter really needs to chat with Fitzgerald about Cheney, Bush, the other WHIGERs, etc.

This ruling will probably also mean that this issue is preserved for appeal for both parties.

If anyone other than Cheney and Libby leaked a CIA agent's name during time of war, they would be sent directly to Guantanamo without the burden of having to plan any trial defense.

It's crystal clear to me.

He was so busy that he's forgotten just how busy he was. He needs to re-read the PDBs to remind himself how busy he was then, which is why he forgot what he told the media. Presumably this re-reading would make him so busy now that he'll forget what he's being tried for and he can't participate properly in his own defense.

Meanwhile, his former boss keeps fogetting what a quail really looks like.

I am no lawyer. I see that the judge has limited the possibility of a "gray-mail" defense. But it also seems a lot like Nixon saying he won't release transcripts of White House tapes, but he will release the summaries of same. DOn't you think Libby's defense will raise a similar opinion?
