Couldn't happen to a more deserving fellow.
And not before time.
Posted by JB (not John Bolton) at March 14, 2006 12:59 PMthe biggest chicken coming home to roost is Bush approval ratings. New lows coming in on a daily basis. Pretty tough for a GOP Rightwing hardliner and Abramoff conspirator to get a campaign off the ground.
Posted by T2 at March 14, 2006 01:03 PMI read several months ago that John Edwards absolutely destroyed Ralphie in a debate on "American Values" at the Bildeberg Conference.
I'd like to have video of that thrashing.
Posted by God Of War at March 14, 2006 01:15 PMHahahahahahahahahaha!
Made my day! Reed is a vehement homophobe.
Off with his head!
Posted by Christopher at March 14, 2006 02:04 PMWell, Mr. Reed has certainly made his bed. I'm just waiting for him to be arrested for child pornography. It seems to suit him. On the other hand, Jesus may save him. Or not.
Posted by tempus at March 14, 2006 02:31 PMThese GOPer guys are just plain creepy.
Posted by Christopher at March 14, 2006 03:39 PMRalphie's picture is in the dictionary.
It is next to the word anus.
Posted by angryspittle at March 14, 2006 04:52 PMDon't be too quick to write off a dipshit like Ralph Reed when it comes to Georgia voters.
Only a couple of years ago, they voted out a triple amputee Vietnam War veteran (Max Cleland) in favor of a Vietnam War draft dodger (Saxby Chambliss) because Cleland was portrayed as weak on defense and national security issues.
You bet a puke like Ralph Reed has a better than even chance---just for being a Republican.
Don't be too quick to write off a dipshit like Ralph Reed when it comes to Georgia voters.
His own people will abandon him over this gambling stuff, though. He's finished.
Posted by dj moonbat at March 14, 2006 06:02 PMThe majority of Republicans here in GA signed statements calling on Reed to withdraw his candidacy for Lt. Gov. What you want to bet that he wins his primary? All this stuff has been out there for a while and he still has enough support to win the GOP primary.
He gets killed, however, in the general election and drags the entire party down the drain-or that's at least what the Republicans here in GA are saying. They think that he'll repeat the Mitch Skadalakis disaster of '98.
Posted by Ga6thDem at March 14, 2006 06:38 PMIf your car ever breaks down in rural Georgia, you will get a close look at the typial Bush base. After the initial shock, you will immediately understand why a moron resides in the White House.
Put a "Jesus says abortion is murder" bumper sticker on your car, and cross your fingers all the way to the next county.
OF COURSE THEY WILL STILL VOTE FOR REED.

I've heard of this "too many beers," but I've never seen it in the wild.

dj, It's local sub-species here in Phoenix. Urisine-Tempe-TIKI AL.
Posted by bbtb at March 14, 2006 07:41 PMWhy is it that whenever I see a picture of Ralph Reed, the first thing I want to say is: "Hey, Sisterboy!"?
Posted by nibbler at March 14, 2006 09:25 PMbb, lunar chiroptera, so much for trying to cover a spelling error.
I believe "too many beers" in the wild was seen to be demonstrated by our feerless VP.
