I"m sure that fresh from his victory in Operation Smarmy, Bush feel he has the Iranians where he wants them, negotiation-wise. Look how well he's done with the Iraqis. Seriously- there will be no diplomatic breakthrough by Bush with Iran. He has no diplomatic policy except declaratory, choppy sentences telling them what "they need to understand". I'm pretty sure the Iranians understand "axis of evil".
