Statistics, schmatistics. When these god-fearing voters enter the booth, they picture two guys kissing at the alter, and all common sense goes out the window.
They await the 4 horsemen in miserable conditions of their own doing, dragging us along with them.
Posted by TIKI AL at March 18, 2006 01:00 PM9% of 2004 Kerry voters now plan to vote Republican?
What in the hell are they thinking?
Posted by herbal tee at March 18, 2006 01:12 PMKerry is a faggot coward two faced mutha like both the Clintons, Gore and the other dude, Biden. He wasted an opp in 04 to rid us of the Monster in Charge. I'm SO glad I never contributed to his campaign, and I regret bitterly that I had a yard sign for him. All the Democrats I know are former Republicans anyway.

What is your take on Alan Greenspan's observation that a centrist thrid party is going to arise, maybe as soon as 2008, but no later than 2012?
This assumes, of course, that we are still having elections, and that Georgie hasn't again let loose the nuclear jinn.

A centrist third party? Why bother? Pess, the deficits and the war costs are crippling the economy of this country to the point that by 2008 no one will have disposable income left to contribute to campaign coffers, which,as you correctly surmise, won't exist because elections will be outlawed. Never underestimate the power of Dubya. As I have noted over and over again, the guy gets what he wants, always! Kinda eerie like he's Keyser Sosay or somepin'.
Allan Greenspan once dated Barbara Walters. How CAN you take anything he bleats seriously?
Posted by Mal Feasance at March 18, 2006 07:08 PMI see Pessimist is deluding himself again in thinking that the Republican base is going to abandon the GOP. What malarkey.
Besides, I have every confidence in the world that the Repubican base wil be sufficiently motivated by November - by liberals. You guys will once again go completely over the top (like Feingold has) in attacking Bush which will anger the base and show them once again that for whatever disagreements they may have with the GOP, the alternative is far far worse.
That combined with a campaign of permanent tax cuts, strength on the war on terror (it's laughable when liberals talk as if they own this issue now), and spending cuts will leave us in a great position.
Of course, this will fall on deaf ears as it usually does. And I'm sure when you guys lose again it'll be another stolen election.
