Comments: Federal Food Program Cutback Knifes Our Seniors

"...in this place there are plain folk who worked hard all their lives, did well, and through no fault of their own don’t recieve too much right now as seniors".

Or, as the Bushites would more succnctly phrase it, "The Losers".

Hey...lay off the T-Bones.

Other than that, a fine rant indeed.

I received an email yesterday from my wealthy friends who live in a gated community in Bluffton, South Carolina. The email compared the North Dakota emergency recently to the New Orleans flood, and how the people of North Dakota didn't have to rely on "handouts" or "demand $2,000 debit cards," because they, unlike the people of NO, didn't feel "the world owed them a living."

It is the attitude of people like this that take food out of the mouths of seniors. I can guarantee that my response just ended a friendship with this couple after 20 years. My parting shot was "I guess Christians no longer believe in helping their neighbors, unless of course, they live in a gated community.

Judith,

As a longtime resident of South Carolina, I can tell you honestly that the plantation meantality of the elete never died. It just got covered up in 1865 and at other times when it got in the way of doing business with yankees.

So these targeted seniors eat less, their fragile immune systems are compromised, they get sick and end up costing the short sighted government bastards more in the long run.

Republican family values at work. November can't come soon enough.

Scout and Herbal Tee:

He is from Atlanta, Georgia originally, so he is southern born and breed, and his Wife is from St. Louis. Over the years we have had many a heated discussion. Hell, he was still calling me one hour prior to my voting for Clinton telling me what a mistake I was making. Our differences never bothered me, as we usually ended up laughting at one another. However, a strange thing has happened to me in the last five years. I no longer have tolerance for any right-winger, period. Their cute little emails are now viewed with distain. I see these people as part of the problem with this Country, friend or no friend. The email I received was so racist. For example: "The people of North Dakota did not wait for some affirmative action government to get them out of a mess created by being
immobilized by a welfare program that trades votes for 'sittin at home' checks."

This couple knows that I am a liberal, so I take exception to them emailing me such a racist piece of trash. Believe what you want, but don't send me this crap is my motto.
