Comments: Uranium from Africa and the NIE: The key judgments and the origin of the uranium claim

Doesn't it seem odd that this information comes out now?

Why didn't the Bushists nip the Libby business in the bud with this "release of material" gambit earlier?

Have you seen the story over at Raw Story breaking about identifying the Niger forgers? Is this a hoax on a hoax?

Mainsailset,

Someone sent me the link and I have to find a way to squeeze some time in this weekend to respond to the Sunday Times article. The main claim in the article is old news. There is one piece of new information in the article - and that will likely be my focus when I respond to it - although Michael Smith, the article's author, has somewhat misunderstood its significance.

Michael Smith has a blog, perhaps you could discuss
it with him over there. He appears to give much credibility to Butler's claims about Zahawi, claims that as you've noted previously, are contradcted by the ISG.
