[Editor: ignore=off]I live deep inside the Bible belt, where Christianity is more like an ethnicity than a religious faith. Around here you are a Christian because your parents are Christians and you were born a Christian. Sin is what those other people do, and you can pretty much do whatever you want because you are forgiven. Killing folks is not that bad because him what done the killing will be forgiven and him what done been killed is off to meet Jesus where he will be judged. Christianity is just another form of privilege, as in the lord has blessed us with this big house and this expensive car, aren't we wonderful. Whenever someone is accused of wrongdoing, first thing we we hear is that they are churchgoers, so they can't be all bad. These are Old Testament Christians who will smile real nice and give the Howdy and then come around in the middle of the night and burn down your barn and feel they are doing the lord's work. After all, having religious faith just makes you a better person.
