Comments: Is Fitz Nearing An Indictment Against Rove?

I don't think the "reassignment" was anything but candy thown to the press. Face it, there is no policy coming from the Bush/Rove administration- so taking Rove off "policy" means nothing. Making a point of saying the decision was made to allow Rove to concentrate on politics and the 06 elections....well duh! thats all Rove is good for- politics- and that's all he's done since Bush was installed. It does mean, however, that the GOPers are scared to death of what will happen if the Dems take either the Senate, or more importantly, the House. Having the filthiest politician of our times working hard in their behalf, the GOPers are going to play hardball x 20.

Dang it, Steve, now you've jinxed it!

The wheels of justice, though slow and rusty, sometimes achieve results, but always AFTER a presidential election.

Agree the reduction of power is designed to soften the shock of impending Rove removal.

I hope so.

Gore in 8.

The thought had crossed my mind--about why Rove's position was changed. I just wish someone would actually be indicted for leaking Plame's name, rather than for lying to investigators.

Josh Marshall asks a good question:

Does it strike anyone else as odd that the White House tossed McClellan out the window without having a replacement ready to announce?

Posted by iamcoyote at April 20, 2006 12:24 PM

coyote, that is an interesting point. I know he's said he'll be staying on for the next 2 - 3 weeks to transition with his replacement.

did anyone see the tributes to Scottie on the Daily Show or Olbermann last night? classic.

Ann, I can't stay up that late, I always watch TDS and Colber' Repor' the next day.

Posted by iamcoyote at April 20, 2006 12:43 PM

ann and prariewolfette, the all-knowing Tivo Gods have revealed the Scottie satire to me also.

I think Keith and Colbert have the best writers.

Steve,

The original post was

"GORE/FEINGOLD PRESIDANTIAL TICKET 2008"

Yes, I know it should be "presidential," but I felt that it was important to maintain the context of the post.

Regards,

Bagley
