Swiftboating former CIA ops?

Good luck, GOP assholes. Might want to grow eyes in the back of your heads if you pull that shit.

Roberts' credibility is crucially on the line here and it would be appropriate to remember that as the NSA wiretapping issue returns to the forefront. Harry, it's time to find that stubborn Nevada miner backbone.

"...used on a gullible media..."

The lazy ones, yes. Though I would argue that a large portion of them were happily, criminally compliant.

The war is really about...

I would add that they wanted to create degree of controlled instability that benefits not only the military industrial complex, but also allowed them to put us into a perpetual state of "war" such that they could circumvent the constitution and do as they please.

Steve,
I thnk you understated the key phrase, "cherry-picked garbage at worst."
No, their crimes are much worse than that. You probably should have written, "a criminal conspiracy to use a forgery to start a war at worst".
I'm waiting to hear who in the administration was told flat out "these documents are forgeries" and then continued to push them, ultimately getting them in the SOTU.
Those people should HANG. Chimpy may be among them.

I'm with John Forde, here. It's just no longer plausible that the Cheney Administration "believed their own hype." The plan was to somehow or other, get into Iraq, get scads of unmetered oil, and start in on Iran. As Simp says, create enough chaos to let it continue as long as needed. Unfortunately, you can't control chaos, it tends to feed on itself. These people are mass murderers, and now they want to up the ante with nukes.

I agree with John and coyote.
They planned this deception and the executed it
and now they should pay for it.

I just wonder about how much they knew about the attacks in september of 2001 and the anthrax mailings...

Good Point imc,

I should've stated "they wanted to create controllable instability, but being the shortsighted, baffoons that they are, there was no way to keep it controlled."

The only hope to get things back into control is diplomatically, through the UN. Though this administrations knows nothing of diplomacy or governing. Even if they could, they don't have ladders big enough to climb over their egos.

The Bush Administration did not invade Iraq, they took it over. It is really that simple. If the PNAC/Cheney arm of the GOP are not run out of office - they will never leave Iraq. They never intended to.

Some center left dems and the NYT ( bad leak author) are softpedlling the truth of this matter.
This is an exceptionally strong prima facie case of the SUPREME CRIME as per the Internationally recognized Nuremberg precedent.
If found guilty that would make the Chimperor a supreme criminal.
If he has any good faith defence at all then he would have released his copy of the transcripts of his interview with Mr Fitzgerald and called for Pat Roberts to stop his criminal obstruction.
Really why aren't responsible people looking closely at the 25th ammendment and RICO statutes right now?
Is there a white women missing somewhere?
