Comments: The "Good Leaker" Pat Roberts

Roberts' mention of Saddam Hussein's supposed whereabouts on the eve of the War for Iraq is as salient a piece of information as the observation in the famous PDB of 6 August 2001 that Osama bin Laden was seeking to attack us on our own soil.

shorter toby, IOKIYAR. HAHAHAHAHAHA!

thank you, Mr.32%Petroll for your dumb comment. If the idiot Bush had paid attention to the PDB, we might have avoided 9/11. But then maybe he wouldn't have had the trifecta he needed?

Here is the thing Steve. If you are in the Bush Admin or support the failed Bush Admin, you can do what you want with national security, as long as it fills a political purpose. Anyone else is subject to prosecution. Thats the GOPer way - one law for them, another for the rest of us.

Now that Mary McCarthy has been frog-marched out of Langley, when do you suppose we'll catch up to Wilson, Plame, Berger, Clarke, Durbin and Rockefeller?

Man the culture of treason of the left marches on.

It's going to be a fun summer seeing these seditious bastards thrown in jail.

The silence is deafening:

Lawyers for the two former AIPAC officials accused of conspiring to receive and disclose classified defense information got permission on Friday from the judge in the case to subpoena top administration officials, including U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
.
The lawyers for the former lobbyists from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Steven J. Rosen and Keith Weissman, intend to prove that Rice herself spoke with Rosen about matters the prosecution argues were classified and forbidden for him to discuss.
.
U.S. District Court Judge T.S. Ellis III accepted the defense's claim that Rice's testimony might be relevant to the case, but added that the secretary can resist the subpoena and explain to the court in writing why she does not wish to testify.
.
A U.S. State Department official told Haaretz a few days ago that Rice would oppose an attempt to subpoena her in the case and would try to persuade the court that conversations she held in which Rosen was also present bear no relavance to the case against him.
.
Rice's spokesman yesterday denied she had leaked national defense information to Rosen.

Josh Marshall has more about Roberts at talking points memo

Roberts wants to put off Phase II - again!!

According the to The Hill, Chairman Roberts now wants to take the part of the investigation he split off to get it past the 2004 election and further split up the split off part in to two new pieces. That should help him get it all past the 2006 election.

Got that?

Again, in 2004 Roberts splits the investigation in two, pushing the investigation of the administration's complicity out past 2004, in order to protect President Bush, who instructs Roberts on what to do. He's been sitting on this 'part two' phase ever since.

Shame on Roberts AND Jay Rockefeller!!!

Oopsy - the last sentence is mine - the rest is from Josh's piece- it should be in italics sorry

Leftydem, we all our kidding ourselves if we think this particular investigation will ever go anywhere. Isn't going to happen. So far the installing technique has worked quite well for this WH. I have a great idea. Why don't we investigate Roberts role in making sure no investigation is completed.
