Comments: Uranium from Africa: How "Bought" Became "Sought" - Introduction

You are indeed indefatigueable, eriposte, bravo.

To watch the wingnut word parsing of "sought v. bought" as though it was a distinction of existential proportions has been especially revealing, when one considers their outrage over Clinton's word parsing vis a vis Monica.

But I would observe also that the "sought" aspect of the situation may have been entirely manufactured by Bushco. Based on what you have presented, the only Africa uranium evidence they had was of an ACTUAL purchase, which they themselves appeared to accept was a forgery and fraudulent. So, without any actual additional evidence (except whatever Wilson reported to the CIA), they "transformed" a known fraudulent "sale" of uranium into a baseless charge of "seeking" uranium.

If there is nothing beyond the fraudulent "sale" documents, then what is the basis for the "sought" allegation? Anything?

And. of course, if there was indeed such a great distinction between sought v. bought, why in the world were the 16 uranium words in Nero's SOTU withdrawn?

You, sir, have jumped the shark.

eriposte - lemme guess - does it have anything to do with the fact that it was the iranians who were sought-ing uranium from niger?
