Oh, horror, we'll have start drinking tea in the mornings!

And after tea, it's just one small step away from eating cheese!

What will we do then? What! Will! We! DO?!

I'd gladly put up with no coffee if it meant the death of Starbucks.

Bush is down 30-0 in the 4th quarter. His only chance of catching up is a series of hail mary heaves. When does it start? What form will they take? War in Iran is obvious. What does he score for the debate domestically? Introduce constitutional amendments on school prayer, flag burning, gay marriage or abortion and force Dems into a fight close to the midterms? Maybe mass deportation of a few thousand illegal immigrants? Eliminate the federal gas tax for a month before the election? Cancel or delay some base closings? I have to believe a concerted panderfest is about to commence.

Republican Lawmakers are Whores for the Rich

The GOP Congress passed tax cuts for the rich yesterday.

According to the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, the tax cuts break down thusly:

- taxpayers with incomes greater than $1 million will receive a $42,000 tax cut

- families with incomes of $50,000 a year will average a $46 tax cut (roughly a ATM withdrawals)

We could stop the war in Iraq and begin the process of healing this great nation if we would bring the current administration before a court or grand jury. Their lies, treason, and criminal acts started this war and now demand the slaughter to continue.

The Bush administration had the motives, means, and opportunity to create the events that enabled a war of conquest and personal profits in Iraq. The administration acted to bring their preconceived war in Iraq to fruitarian.

Only the U.S Government could have orchestrated the events that started the war drums and fed the mighty Wurlitzer that was used to build support for the Iraq war.

The Department of Defence stood down

The WTC was demolished with a controlled demolition

The pentagon was “attacked” with a hoax about a passenger airliner

Another hoax was used to create a distraction in PA, flight 93 and build the myth of “Let’s Roll”

Pre-9/11 intelligence failures-by-design were used to create “patsies” with excuses for the events

The actions of the defendants tell you they are guilty. For example, it would be a serious violation of rules and regulations to let a president read an upside-down goat book while the nation was experiencing the worst attack on U.S. soil in history.

The “official story” would be laughable on its face if it wasn’t so tragic and if it wasn’t used to commit even greater war crimes and crimes against humanity. There is no way the administration’s version of events could withstand cross-examination by competent counsel.

I'd gladly put up with no coffee if it meant the death of Starbucks.

Do what the Red Staters do. Cook up a batch of meth, then slap your wife around for good measure. Remember, all sins are forgiven on Sunday!

I was watching defense spending floor debates this morning and clipped some of the speeches. One, in particular, makes me sick. Duncan Hunter is proposing that a national preserve run by the Parks and Wildlife in Capps district be, in part, turned into a hunting area for veterans. He is not allowing debate on this. Capps and McGovern outraged by this behavior- on CanOFun

I cannot wait to get these people out. As Capps put it, Republican drives by a national park and thinks, great, how about I try to turn over part of this to a private enterprise that will run a lucrative hunting operation? THAT is the difference between a Democrat who appreciates national parks and a Republican, who cares only for gutting nature to advance profits.

Starbuck's stock took a big hit on the market today. I hope you haven't given them any ideas. I don't know if I can make it on soda pop alone.

back to you David

Well, started as a post about coffee and shortly thereafter became a "blame Bush."

But hey, kids, (my contribution to this thread) Mother S used to be one of your favorites. Why not now?

After all, as reported here:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2002981541_sheehan09.html

She is singing your song:

"We are not the fringe. We are not the lunatics. They are. We are mainstream America."
