Don't they call them "freedom fries" in Ohio?

Pessimist, good roundup as usual on our "good" economy. Down here in Bama I get the pleasure of listening to the local wignuts talk about how great the economy is. The funny thing is the only statistic they give to back this up is the GNP. Nothing about wages. Nothing about number of new jobs. Nothing about the quality of jobs. Unless of course they can blame it on the illegals ... and then all of a sudden we got all sorts of problems.

Follow the money, indeed. Now, I can understand why the Republicans wouldn't want us to follow the money. But what is it with the Demorcrats? "Follow the money" should be the first thing out of every Democratic politicians's mouth everytime they speak. Doesn't matter the topic. Iraq war, follow the money. Medicare Plan D, follow the money. Katrina relief, follow the money. Homeland security, follow the money. Estate tax, follow the money. Tax cuts, follow the money. If you do follow the money, it will lead each and everytime to the "haves, have mores, GW's base". Not to difficult to understand. No?

Unfortunatly the way the system is set up now, almost as much money leads to the Dems as it does to the Reptiles. Thats why they dont talk more about it. There are some toes nobody has the cajones to step on. And everybody's milkin that cow. That walking travesty the Shrub shoulda been a sitting duck ripe-for-the-pcking in every public debate he's ever been in, but he's always been served up soft balls by his erstwhile "opponents". Why?

I ask again why? And why did Gore go for Perot's throat and play like shrubs just-slightly-more-liberal brother in their debates? Crickets..

And more crickets..Its a soothing sound though.
