Bush. Charge him, try him and then hang him.
Posted by steve duncan at June 6, 2006 03:59 AMLapdog Lieberman, who says he is a proud Democrat, has refused to rule out an independent bid if he loses the primary. So Lieberman, a proud Democrat, would be willing to split the Democrat's votes and give the seat to Republican candidate Alan Schlesinger. In other words, I don't give a damn about the Democratic Party, I just want to win, so I can continue being a lapdog for the GOP Party and Master Bush.

Posted by Joseph at June 6, 2006 05:40 AMI see where the Bush Admin is willing to help Iran upgrade its commercial air fleet with Boeing parts, in exchange for dropping its nuke weapons program. Great work Condi/George! Lets get their jets capable of delivering weapons systems anywhere in Europe with good old US technology! As long as Boeing Corporate can make big bucks to give big GOP campaign donations, it's all good.
Posted by T2 at June 6, 2006 06:13 AMT2, maybe Iran can nab a few of those newly touted Boeing "suburb bombs". At least that way when they go after some of our allies they can avoid national monuments or cultural icons (you know, like the ones New York City has NONE of?) and concentrate on economic or military targets.

I thought we were trying to get them to drop their nuclear power program?
Posted by snark at June 6, 2006 06:27 AMAbout that Rolling Stone article--one precinct declared a terrorist threat (they said they were told of the threat from the FBI) and counted the votes under lockdown. The FBI never issued a threat warning. So were these people arrested? And aren't there democrats present to count the votes too? Anyone have any more info on this? My husband was skeptical of various aspects of the article because he wants to know why heads aren't rolling. I told him some are, but there's no proof of a lot of it. Statistics can indicate fraud, but don't prove it and the people who are responsible for investigating (the Justice Dept and Congress?) are all run by republicans. But the fake terrorist threat seems pretty clear. Someone issued it, and it was made up. Did anything come of it?
Posted by CG at June 6, 2006 06:41 AMCG, it's all a mute point. Nothing will ever be done.
Saw Ann Coulter for the first time on Today Show promoting her book "Godless: The New Church of Liberalism." I don't have cable, so I have never seen her in an interview. Is it my imagination, or is she not too bright? She appears to be extremely uneducated about politics.
Posted by Judith at June 6, 2006 08:43 AMthat's "moot" point, not mute point.
Posted by Judith at June 6, 2006 08:45 AMIs it my imagination, or is she not too bright?
She's a neo-con. That's the first indication that she's a couple of Twinkies short in the binge-purge cycle...if you get my point.
She's a dimwit, but very loud. To neo-cons, loud is smart. To neo-cons, the idiot son of George Bush is smart. To neo-cons, Rush the Lush is smart. They're a pack of stupid people congratulating each other on how bright they are.
Posted by phidipides at June 6, 2006 09:07 AMNot that I try to listen to what the stick says, but did anyone else catch Ann Coulter on "The Today Show" this morning hawking her new book?
Other than some of her blank stares and momnets of silence trying to come up with responses to Matt Lauer's questions, it was rather the same tripe I expected from her. My favorite quote, referring to the 9-11 widows,--"I have never seen people enjoying about their husbands' deaths so much."
video here
That's Ann's attraction - skinny 'sexy' body, blonde hair, and appeal of stupid politics that can be easily understood by the even the worst 8th grade dropout. If you can do high school government or logic, you can take Ann apart on her assumptions. But the only facts Ann has come in contact with are usually sold in the family planning section of the pharmacy.
Posted by idiosynchronic at June 6, 2006 09:16 AMJust read this on an Alter Net comment thread...I think it pretty much sums Coulter:
Coulter's popularity is easy to explain. Rather than use her intelligence to analyze policy, she has chosen the much easier route of capitalizing on her objectification. If a better looking liberal talking head, take Katrina Vanden Heuvel for instance, delivered statements that were inanely controversial ("We all know that Christian fundamantalists jerk off looking at pictures of Jesus Christ!") in a coquettish manner, she'd be invited on every right-wing talk show and suddenly become the darling of the corporate entertainment world, too. But she has self-respect, and Coulter doesn't.
Ann Coulter = The Ultimate Hate Merchant!!
Posted by Seven of Six at June 6, 2006 09:50 AMProfessor, I saw her say that the wives of 9/11 who lost husbands were enjoying their loss, or words to that affect. She went on to say that it was not their loss, but the Nations loss, and they needed to stop using their losses for financial gain. This woman is not only stupid, but pure evil. I would imagine the wives of 9/11 have a few words for Ms. Coulter, the felon.
Posted by Judith at June 6, 2006 10:00 AMSorry, got my felons mixed up. There are so many. Coulter isn't a felon yet, or if she is, it hasn't been discovered yet. Was thinking of Harris. It does make one wonder about the IQ of people who listen to her.
Posted by Judith at June 6, 2006 10:03 AMCoulter isn't a felon yet
Depends. Oral sex is a deviant felony in many States, often coverered under their sodomy statutes. So, we know she blows...meals included. She is, ergo, a felon by statute.
Posted by phidipides at June 6, 2006 11:19 AMPhidipides, sorry, I got felon and fellatio mixed up. I will say Coulter looks like she "has been rode hard and put away wet."
Posted by Judith at June 6, 2006 11:35 AMYet another advantage of being agnostic...6-6-6, just another day at the beach.
Keep the Coulter controversy coming, I shipped 8 more Ann Coulter Hermaphradolls this morning.
