What is says doesn't matter nearly as much as leaving the impression that only and idiot would vote for him. That's how Bush won twice and most of them are there right now. How the hell else can he pay for the vacation home and new SUCKS-MORE SUV he bought? Explain that to me? And when you say 1.5 million unmarried women are raising families on minimum wage, that is nonsense. Half those girls are just pregant at the Tastee Whirl, they ain't raising nobody. Bill is dead on. The first key to beating your opponent is to make your opponent unpalatable to the voter. The GOP does this to everyone. It's easy to see how it works; most of the people who voted for Bush voted that way because Kerry was painted as an unpalatable sissified flip-flopper.
It's a fuck of a lot easier to get elected if people look at your opponent and see someone unappealing they cannot vote for.

It won't be an announced amnesty but there will be a lot of talk about needing to move on, to take care of more important issues, to foster an atmosphere cooperation, blah, blah, blah. There are Dems out there with their own skeletons in the closet and the closing down of the ethics committee recognized it was in everybody's best interest to have no real oversight of anyone. I say Republicans will get to pass "GO" and collect their $200, just like they always have.

Simp, it always shocks me too. The minimum wage needs to be raised to $10.00 an hour, at least. At this rate, it will take 50 years to get $10.00. Meanwhile, the MFs gave themselves a $3,000 a year raise. How do they sleep at night?
