In fact, what I'm hearing and reading is, the speech was praised by..........., Rick Santorum!

I suspect the talking point to the GOP pushers is that the CT race is more unstable and may lead to a GOP catch if Lieberman is defeated in the primary and stages a 3-way general. Lieberman may win, but the GOP will love the warfare.

They all are attacking Joe from the left so there apparently isn't much of a constituency in CT for Joe. Bush's approval rating in CT is about 26% so 75% of the residents disagree with Lieberman.

Of course, at the time, we didn't know just how Conservative he was. It took a Right Wing zealot becoming President alongside an all Conservative government in order for us to see Lieberman's true colors.
I loved Al Gore. What the hell was he thinking?
