Desperate little prick ain't he.
Trying to play the fear mongering gambit like Dear Leader to save his re-election bid.
I wonder whose bright idea that was. Might be interesting to see if someone on his staff gets shitcanned in the next few days.
Posted by j swift at June 22, 2006 03:52 PMDegraded or not they were supposedto have gotten rid of them. Unless you think that that 500 rounds of chemiclas pose no risk. Now we have to worry if these are the tip of iceberg or if he rest were smuggled out to Syria and others, while we dicked around with te UN and trying to appease the left while Saddam brided our supposed ally France. UN Security Council Resolution 687 stated he was to get rid of these in 2001, they were discovered 2003 and thats only becuase we invaded.
Posted by Avenger D-22 at June 22, 2006 04:40 PMThe long hot summer is here and I'm so fed up. I say we storm the White House and take him out by his left testicle. Anybody with me?
Posted by Mal Feasance at June 22, 2006 04:58 PMAvenger, the claims by the two are garbage and the experts already knew about these shells. That is all that matters. Don't spin this into something that it isn't.
Posted by Steve Soto at June 22, 2006 05:00 PMMal, you take the left, I'll take the right. Smile
Posted by Judith at June 22, 2006 05:27 PMOn our local political show tonight, the GOP is already trying to spin the WMD as a big deal. Guess what, it's not working.
Posted by Judith at June 22, 2006 05:29 PMAvenger, think about it. Do you really want to be on the same side as Man on Dog Santorum? For the sake of your reputation, man, resist!
Posted by iamcoyote at June 22, 2006 05:40 PMUnless you think that that 500 rounds of chemiclas pose no risk.
Degraded chemicals. Also known as useless.
Posted by ann at June 22, 2006 06:13 PMBut this is interesting:
MIAMI -- Seven people were arrested Thursday in connection with the early stages of a plot to attack Chicago's Sears Tower and other buildings in the U.S., a federal law enforcement official said.
The official told The Associated Press the alleged plotters were mainly Americans with no apparent ties to al-Qaida or other foreign terrorist organizations. He spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to pre-empt news conferences planned for Friday in Washington and Miami.
So much for racial profiling of Arabs.
Posted by ann at June 22, 2006 06:15 PMThis is also, ah, interesting:
WASHINGTON, June 22 - Under a secret Bush administration program initiated weeks after the Sept. 11 attacks, counterterrorism officials have gained access to financial records from a vast international database and examined banking transactions involving thousands of Americans and others in the United States, according to government and industry officials.
The program, however, is a significant departure from typical practice in how the government acquires Americans' financial records. Treasury officials did not seek individual court-approved warrants or subpoenas to examine specific transactions, instead relying on broad administrative subpoenas for millions of records from the cooperative, known as Swift.

Avenger gets the weenie in the middle!
Posted by Seven of Six at June 22, 2006 06:22 PMLOL! When I first heard about this I started laughing. Santorum talks about some empty shells like they are nuclear armaments. Anyhow, Little Ricky must think that the "you can fool some of the people all the time" consituency is large enough to get him reelected. I hope Casey's team made a tape of that appearance.
Posted by Ga6thDem at June 22, 2006 06:28 PMRemember what Paul Begala and Josh Marshall say about the Republican "ideas"--More of the Same. "Staying the course" is not a plan, it's a cop out, and, worse yet, it's a disaster when the course takes you off a cliff. Remember the Great Depression? Of course not, you Reaganite swine! It's not in your collective memory! That was "staying the course" too.
But back to Man-On-Dog: Hannity and Limbaugh have been trying to patch things up by promoting the "courage" of MoD and Hoeckstra. As usual, they are not dealing with a full deck, so those who get "the news" from these idiots don't get accurate information. The point is, just ignore these idiots. They are their own worst enemy right now.
And BTW Avenger does not get the weenie in the middle--he IS the weenie in the middle.

Judith: Bush has two??
Posted by tempus at June 22, 2006 07:14 PMI've got more "chemical weapons" than that under my fucking kitchen sink. You gotta be kidding me! Are these guys for real?
Ricky should just stick to fucking dogs.
Posted by God Of War at June 22, 2006 07:25 PMTempus, I would not swear to it. There are some who say he has no balls.
Posted by Judith at June 22, 2006 07:40 PMHow many times are these same spent shells going to be "found" before we can move on?
Posted by herbal tee at June 22, 2006 07:54 PMSome intrepid NYT reporter should front page their investigative results: during "Mission Accomplished" was Prez Codpiece anatomically normal, or as "some people say": stuffed with a rolled up tube sock?
Posted by Sharon at June 22, 2006 09:28 PMSantorum obviously has no clue about the meaning of the word 'degraded'. Nor does he know what it means to actually live in the state he intends to represent: is anyone going to sue to get him off the ballot because he clearly doesn't live in the two-bedroom, furniture-less house he claims as his residence?
(I keep wanting to say this, now I will: the fourth character in 'gandalf' is n, counting ' as a character.)

Your petty gripe contains a misstatement regarding what is being requested that negates your point.

Posted by The Boy at June 23, 2006 06:51 AMI thought the fourth character in Gandalf was Pippin.

Sharon, some say it was a bullet-proof jockstrap, but others say it was just a case of Georgie bein' surrounded by all them big studs in dress uni's. Got him a little hot and bothered, and brought back memories of the sweet Jeffie Gannon days.
Posted by tempus at June 23, 2006 08:33 AMI thought the fourth character in Gandalf was Pippin.
I always thought there was a homoerotic undercurrent between those two. But who are the other three characters that hooked up with Gandalf before Pippin got in there for filthy fourths?
Posted by snark at June 23, 2006 08:43 AMI'm thinking Treebeard, snark. And Saruman went over to the dark side out of spite... Of course, Sauron was always the elephant in the room...
