The Cayman Islands.
Posted by Christopher at July 5, 2006 09:06 AMI heard on the radio that Bushco is using this as an excuse to "spruce up" our old ICBMs. Still looking for a link, though.

[Editor: ignore=off]Bendito, who has been in charge these last five years?
Posted by Steve Soto at July 5, 2006 09:20 AMchristopher is right, the cayman islands, at least until the plastic surgery is done, then i'm guessing somewhere far from his hated america, who never gave him his due.
remember, the enron scandal also started with a suicide. except no one bagged cliff baxter's hands when they took his body away, which is SOP for handgun suicides. so the investigation was compromised from the beginning.
i'm just saying.
Posted by benjoya at July 5, 2006 09:27 AMThat's pretty messed up Soto. Lay's death is a good day for Cheney? Man, you could have at least waited a few days. That's just disgraceful.
You seem to know that Lay had a lot to tattle on Cheney. Tell us all about it, Mr. Omniscient.
Posted by Seixon at July 5, 2006 09:27 AMThey'll use our GPS system to guide them. There has to be a way to phoney that up and guide them right back to where they came from.
Posted by Bill at July 5, 2006 09:28 AMmissing tag, sorry.
and of course seixon mourns the death of every thief that buys it. especially one who has bankrolled dear leader so substantially.
Posted by benjoya at July 5, 2006 09:30 AMmay Cheney lick the soles of Lay's feet while they both burn in hell.
Posted by Flamethrower at July 5, 2006 09:32 AMGet the smelling salts! Burn a feather! Sexion might swoon in outrage any moment! O the humanity!
Posted by iamcoyote at July 5, 2006 09:34 AMHeart attack? My ass! That sonovabitch took the esy way out rather than room with Bruno and Bubba!
It reminds me of when William Casey conveniently died right before being called to testify over Iran-Contra - get out before you can reveal something sensitive.
Who's next, Scooter?
Posted by pessimist at July 5, 2006 09:42 AMShit! Seixon has the vapors!
Posted by phidipides at July 5, 2006 09:43 AMFor Seixon's sake let's all mourn Ken Lay's passing...OK let's move on!
Posted by Seven of Six at July 5, 2006 10:07 AMI don't give a damn about Lay, but it's infantile to smear someone on the day of their death. I guess some of you will never put away your partisan hatchets to be adults. Too bad really. I can't wait for his funeral, you guys will be there making it into a political rally or something I bet.
Have fun spitting on a dead man guys, count me out.
Posted by Seixon at July 5, 2006 10:09 AMpeople die every day. most of them aren't criminals. fuck lay, he's probably not even dead.
Posted by benjoya at July 5, 2006 10:16 AMI guess some of you will never put away your partisan hatchets to be adults.
Just like the repukes always do, right, Seixon?
Posted by Seven of Six at July 5, 2006 10:17 AMSell your crap to the thousands of people whose lives were ruined by what Lay did to their retirements Seixon. I must have missed all your comments and postings in the blogosphere about Ken Lay's victims, both here and in Iraq as well.
And if you don't like the partisan hatchets, be gone. No one around here is going to be a doormat for the GOP or flakes like you.
Posted by Steve Soto at July 5, 2006 10:19 AMI love the outrage!
THE OUTRAGE!
Such passion in defense of poor deceased Mr. Lay.
Seixon, have you spoken up so passionately anywhere about all the poor working stiffs at Enron who got the hatchet right in the back from poor deceased Kenny Boy?
Posted by snark at July 5, 2006 10:20 AMHave fun spitting on a dead man guys, count me out.
Not me. I'm pissing on him. And how did you feel about Zarqawi?
Posted by phidipides at July 5, 2006 10:22 AMUh, sexion, how can we count you out if you were never counted in? Silly goose. And speaking of dancing on graves, you said you couldn't wait for the funeral, didn't you? That doesn't sound respectful, it sounds kinda partisan to me.
But seriously, Steve, Cheney certainly is breathing easier today in a lot of respects. The missile launches by NK will give the media fodder to ramp up the fear, and the unsuccessful missile defense system will become the savior of us all yet again. Mo' money, mo' money for the contractors. And yes, Cheney doesn't have to worry about Kenny boy singing. Shooter's loving it, I'm sure.
Posted by iamcoyote at July 5, 2006 10:24 AMThanks, but I'll save my spit Seixon for a more worthy use. But as far as I'm concerned, Kennyboy should still be hung by the neck and used as a pinata by his now-bankrupted investors and former faithful (and now f*cked) employees. He never felt anything for them during his life, so he won't feel a thing in death. Karma is a bitch. (:>
Posted by Donald Cormac at July 5, 2006 10:24 AMA: Bendito
Q: Can retardicans get any stupider than they already are?
One mourns the death of someone who was loved and respected. Someone who was kind and thought of others. Someone who did the right thing and had integrity. Nope, we won't be mourning Key Lay. Nothing about Ken Lay would cause me to mourn. He cheated people out of their hard earned money. He's dead. Good. We tax payers are saved some money.
Posted by Judith at July 5, 2006 11:58 AMHere's my question: if Lay died before they could seize assets and freeze any money, if those assets are passed on to heirs, can the feds still go after those assets? Will his estate be tied up with the feds forever, or will his wife and kids reap the benefits of his death? If he hadn't died and lost all of his assets to the government, his wife and kids would probably get nothing and he would have gone to prison.
Posted by ann at July 5, 2006 12:05 PMThe Caymans are the place of choice for American white collar criminals and U.S. drug dealers to off-shore their illegal fortunes.
It's ironic that that this is where Kennyboy and Linda Lay have an estate.
But I'm sure it's just a coincident. LOL!!!
Posted by Christopher at July 5, 2006 12:12 PMThat's life, ain't no denyin,
Convicted in May, July yer die'in.
And you won't have to serve a single day-ay.
But down in hell is where you'll have to pay.
Did he really roll himself up in a big ball when he died? Are there secret energy meetings in hell?
Posted by TIKI AL at July 5, 2006 12:21 PMIt's ironic that that this is where Kennyboy and Linda Lay have an estate.
Don't look now, but it's where most republi-con politicians have a vacation home.
Posted by phidipides at July 5, 2006 12:46 PMDon't look now, but it's where most republi-con politicians have a vacation home.
And a very large bank account!
Posted by Seven of Six at July 5, 2006 01:06 PMand where armed guards stand outside the banks.
Posted by Judith at July 5, 2006 05:49 PMI find it funny that KennyBoy could have gotten 45 years for the Enron thing and ONE HUNDRED TWENTY YEARS for personal banking fraud. How many more were hurt in the corporate affair yet the punishment is so much less. Screw the individual but protect corporations is the American Way of Life. Lovely.
Posted by Sharon at July 5, 2006 07:05 PMRot in hell! or should I say, burn...
Posted by Parallax at July 5, 2006 08:23 PMSeixon calls himself a 'moderate centrist' but his blogroll cites LGF, Captains Corner, Instapundit and other, I suppose 'moderate centrists'.
You are known by the company you keep, doofus.
