I wondered how they'd fare when martial law was imposed if the military wouldn't shoot at everyday people. Looks like the coup goes on as planned now. They're priming the pump with all the stories about foiled terror plots as it is; all they have to do is let one get past them, and bingo! Martial law, no elections, coup succeeds, dictatorship established.

My (white) brother-in-law who works for Blackwater has already been advised not to discuss anything concerning his job, company or Iraq when he returns. They are on the higher end of intelligence but if forced to follow orders for 500 to 600 dollars a day who knows what they would do.

There are bigots and skinheads and Aryan Nation members throughout society. The Army is a cross section of society just as every other gathering of several people is in one organization. This is surprising? What's happening in Iraq is deplorable and horrific. However, American citizens would do well to worry more about these whack jobs populating their schools and local police forces than the military. Their negative influence is certainly more immediate and damaging here than over there.
