Comments: Yes, he really did say that

That statement doesn't surprise me at all. In his reality, that is just what he is doing. If you never read newspapers, or books, or even blog for that matter, or told the truth by those around you, it is an easy statement to make. What the smuck doesn't know is that he is hated by millions of Americans, and has an F when it comes to his Reign as Fearmonger. He will go down in history as the pResident who created more problems for the world than any President, and solved none of them.

Mary, that might be ubsurd, but this quote from the same piece is damned, fucking scary:

In refering to Katrina

"The only problem he acknowledged: "Obviously, the thing that happened that needed to happen better was, how do you deal with a breakdown in law and order."

Holy shit.

2. being correct
3. being popular
4. none of the above

answer: 4. none of the above
Why didn't they have tests like this when I was in kindergarten?

Tiki, you are brilliant.

Thanks for the smiles.

Truthfully, Bush will be "judged as" creating problems and being incorrect. He's been an utter disaster as President, hands down.

Worst. President. Ever.

W...The Worst.

That statement is just a variation of "Who cares what you think?"

What a statement. The guy really doesn't have a clue as to the amount of damage he has created. He exhibits the characterists of a dry drunk, inability to admit error, gestures of gradeur and an unwillingness to assess his own strenghts and weaknesses. Wow. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just him that he was hurting. Unfortuantely, he is bringing us all down with him.

solving problems - he just created last month.

Nero jr didn't like being told he was "wrong" as a child. I think he thinks bein' the decider is sort of like betting on a roulette wheel---you takes a guess and sometimes yer "correct".

Given his ability and desire to digest information, I suppose he does see policy decisions as a throw of the dice.

He clearly has been told that Iraq is somehow going to sort itself out over the next decade and that he will be credited with whatever it morphs into. Thus, he'll have "solved a problem" and been "correct".

It's hard to imagine what else he could be thinking about with this odd formulation. Perhaps he also thinks that his contemptible War on the Constitution will be "looked back on" by history and seen as "correct". Good luck with that one.

He is such a nightmare that words simply fail.

Well, Bush is the "decider."

His mommy even told him so, as have the supplicants who orbit his tiny pinhead.

Whoops, there go the cornflakes! On the window!

Classic statement from a person raised by authoritarian parents. Nothing the child does is correct, regardless of whether it's correct or not, and punishment is irrational given the actions the child has taken. The child strives to be correct, even in the face of never knowing what 'correct' is. Every action and everything that spills from Busch's mouth screams, "Why don't mommy and Daddy love me? I am finally doing the correct thing."

Too bad he missed by so much. The single worst president ever. He makes Grant's administration look downright competent.

Mary, he's just yearning for something he's never seen. Sort of like a Bush urban myth.

GWBush,

0 for 2.

Hey Phidipides, watch it. Grant was a distant cousin by marriage in my family.

Euzoius, that's pretty much my take on it. I suspect he truly believes that history will say that he was a great pResident. Perhaps he believes that "bringing Democracy to Iraq" will in the end bring Democracy to the middle east and he will get the credit. Illusions of an alcoholic.

BIG GRIN!!

When history looks back, I'd rather be judged the 'greatest NFL quarterback of all time' than popular, but, being a guy in my late 40s who doesn't play football, I have about as much chance of that as Bush does of being thought a problem-solver OR correct.
