No. What IS crazy is fighting Hezbollah for 18 years, then going home with your tail between your legs, then thinking that 6 years later you can bomb the fuck out of christian neighborhoods and the Lebanese will welcome you with flowers. Now, who the fuck would be so crazy as to believe this insanity? Neo-cons in Merca, baby! And who do neo-cons support more than Merca? Israel, baby! And the Israelis have always been the slimiest fucks around!
Posted by phidipides at July 28, 2006 01:08 PMThe attack on Israel came from Lebanon. Therefore Lebanon must have attacked Israel. Hezbollah Smezbollah. Nonsense. The attack came from a country, Lebanon. It's Lebanon's responsibility to say Hezbollah did it without permission and then do something about it beginning with a strong apology and promise to pay for the damage.
Lebanon, a country is hiding behind Hezbollah that is a what? How about an excuse to attack Israel without doing it. By now they must realize that plan has failed. And if they haven't yet then wait until those blockbuster bombs arrive.
Israel is not a special case. This is a matter of law as accepted by the international community forever. The attacker is always the country from which the attack originated and never anyone else. If Lebanon needs help controlling her residents then she should ask for it. Otherwise, prepare for the big kerrrrrrrrrrrrrboooooooooooooom. Digging deeper only means getting burried deeper.

Definition of terrorism”
Article 54 of the Geneva Convention states: "It is prohibited to attack, destroy or render useless objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population" and includes foodstuffs, livestock and "drinking water supplies and irrigation works."
Tittle 18 U.S. Code Section 2331 defines international terrorism as acts dangerous to human life that would violate our criminal laws if done in the United States when those acts are intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population or to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion.
I guess it put The US, Israel in equal footing with Al Qaida, Hamas and Hezbollah.

If that's what you really meant by "stirring up," I stand corrected.
Posted by iamcoyote at July 28, 2006 04:57 PMThe attacker is always the country from which the attack originated and never anyone else.
Exactly! That's why most people don't realize that it was America who attacked America on 9-11. All of those flights originated in...Merca! Evil murderous Mercans! And it was really Kuwait that attacked Iraq after 9-11.
And Hezbollah taking 2 IDF soldiers after a raid...it had absolutely nothing to do with the 4000 Palestinian and Lebanese prisoners Israel holds without charges or trials. Indeed, since the soldiers were taken from Israel, it is a case of Israel attacking itself since the attack originated in Israel. Nice logic, spunky.
I'm glad you shed some light on the topic.

Based on their inane rants, I’m forced to suppose that scum like some of the regular trolls haven’t heard during any time of their miserable lives of a little thing called justice, neither that, if it must be given, punishment must fit the crime.
Can critters like them truly think that any child deserves to die under the rubble delivered by our chaste bombs in order to make matters…equitable?
Hope there’s some Divine justice somewhere in which such type germs get their just reward.

What a fucking idiot you are, bendito. Israel is a nation. Not a "Jew". Lot's of Jews in Israel, but the Israeli government is the problem, not a religion. You want to yell anti-semite? Good. You seem to value an irrational form of self-reliance...so why aren't the Israelis self-reliant to the tune of costing you $100 billion per year? Why do you neo-cons love Israel when they sold our state secrets to everyone and their dog and openly attacked us militarily? Simply put, it's because of neo-cons like you. The neo-cons love Israel before America. I can't understand it.

Posted by polimorf at July 28, 2006 08:44 PMBendito, must say that I feel awfully obliged.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I have the feeling this is about the first time I can recall that you’ve had the cojones to actually give a stab at responding to anything.
Sorry, but after giving more than a few rounds to the block, encountering blokes like yourself that will reduce everything to some sort of hatred towards any specific nation or ethnic group in order to conclude that things are terrible wrong (when they are more than plenty wrong) is old hat, and not something that will manage to keep me awake.
Anyway, much like any other being with the least of “human” preceding the “being” I, too, deplore terrorism. A curse that my own people and my own country have suffered for longer than you can dare imagine.
Having said above let me assure you than if any country on earth had responded to any Israeli terrorist act in the same manner that Israel has responded my decrying anything would be in support of Israel.
As most human beings are well aware, in this latest case keeping the world on pins and needless the clear underdog is Lebanon, and blame me if you want to, but underdogs get my vote.
Yet, as far as commiserating believe you me, any child, whether Arabic, Israeli (or of any other nationality or ethnic background) gets equally the same. Quite, quite different, from the vitriol that you freely spew.
Even in war, Bendito, there are rules of engagement. Probably to remind us of that humanity side of our beings that you so seem to lack.

I know, Judith. Sadly, I do know other beings of Bendito’s ilk.
Yet, if he doesn’t understand the words of any soul unworthy of his attention, perhaps he should follow the suggestion I gave a while back to open webs interested in peaceful means to achieve ends in the sorry Israeli/Palestinian conflict, such as Gush Shalom.
In such webs even the thickets block-head can sense some of the sorrow one can feel (if one has, to begin with, feelings) simply by learning what some Israelites have to say in re to the suffering that the stances taken by their own government is causing for “everyone concerned” in this long saga—et al.
Below is a portion of what Uri Avnery has to say about the latest war in which his deep understanding of a situation that directly affects him and his countrymen is demonstrated. Would this man, and other Israelites such as himself, want nothing but the best for his country? Well, I guess that to Bendito and his ilk Avnery has to fall under the category of anti—whatever—so, why bother?
--“Q & A: The 15th Day - by Uri Avnery - 26-7-06
- Who is winning this war?
-On the 15th day of the war, Hizbullah is functioning and fighting. That by itself will go down in the annals of the Arab peoples as a shining victory.
-When a featherweight boxer faces a heavyweight and is still standing in the 15th round - that is a victory, whatever the final outcome…” –
(if interested, open Gush to read complete article-q).
And here’s one of Gush Shalom’s latest ads,
--“The Israeli army,
One of the strongest in the world,
Is already fighting for 16 days
Against an organization that has
Only a few thousand fighters.
It is impossible to win
Against a guerilla organization
There is no military solution.
Ad published in Haaretz, July 27, 2006.”--
And here’s something that’s impossible to dismiss—thus if I ever dared to forget what’s the cruel reality faced by (all) those suffering the fury that wars, inhumanity and mayhem usually cause—again, to all concerned…
--“ While the eyes of the public
Are riveted to the
Daily bloodletting in Lebanon -
The wholesale killing
In the Gaza Strip
Is going on.
Women and children
Are also killed
Every day.
This bill, too,
Will be presented to us
In the future.
Ad published in Haaretz, July 28, 2006.”--

Phidipides for faithfully exemplifying that being shackled to hate mutilates the mind.
bendito wants to play? Cool! Neo-cons before my first Bloody Mary of the day. Life is good.
Yes, indeed, I do hate neo-cons. No doubt as much as they hate anything that smacks of not supporting Israel 100%, regardless of the death and destruction Israel causes and Israel's lack of being a good faith partner to the United States.
Why neo-cons love them, I don't know. They have attacked us militarily, sold our state secrets to foreign governments (in fact, they almost sold an entire late model American made AWAC to China and Russia...the military threw a shit-fit...damn, the military is anti-semite!!!).
How you can place Israel before America is well beyond me. You sell America down the crapper to support Israel. Why? What's in it for you? It makes you a traitor. It makes you anti-American. Your thoughts prove you do not support the troops. This means you are of no value to America and you should do us the grace of not letting the door hit you in the ass as you exit. Find a country that fits your attitude...I assure you, the Taliban and your repressed thinking will dovetail exactly. Afghanistan is your speed.
Benito, you found me out. Good looking woman seeking approval from neocons hoping that she can change their hearts. It's a huge task, but hey, someone has to do it.
Sorry Judith. Unless you look a lot like Jeff Gannon neo-con males will not be swayed. Like bendito, they are all closeted. That's why they like Condi so much. She's uglier than shit so they don't have to pretend they have sexual feelings for her. They can get back to their mail room boys with a clean conscience.

Posted by quídam at July 29, 2006 09:53 AMWhy do the Neocons like Israel more than America. Well look in their dresser drawer and you will find two passports -- one US and the other Israeli. America is just a tool for them to use to accomplish the goal for israel.
Even the Prince of Darkness, Richard Pearl lives in Province France. He probably also has an Israeli passport.
When I was growing up I was told it was against US law to be a citizen of two countries (to have a passport I would assume you have to be a citizen). How did that change. It was the Israeli thing.
The American people were fools to allow this to happen.
