Up is down, right is wrong, Senator Talent is no longer a member of the GOP, and now a Republican is calling for Republicans to vote Democratic. Life sure is crazy these days.

The following is a letter from former Republican Congressman and Presidential candidate Pete McCloskey.

THE NEED FOR A DEMOCRAT MAJORITY IN THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IN 2007

"It has been difficult, nevertheless, to conclude as I have, that the Republican House leadership has been so unalterably corrupted by power and money that reasonable Republicans should support Democrats against DeLay-type Republican incumbents in 2006."

The administration holds it's permissible to torture people to gain information needed to combat terrorism. The shooting in Seattle may be a Muslim targeting Jews, acting out against perceived wrongs occurring in the Middle East. It's been suggested by some this was an act of terrorism. Do we know if this man has compatriots he's working with, planning further violence? If waterboarding, stress positions, humiliation, hot/cold infliction and sleep deprivation are OK in Iraq to curtail terrorism why not here? Bush says we're employing the methods used "over there" so we don't have to battle terrorists over here. Once terrorism visits these shores are those same methods acceptable stateside? If not, why not? Please, don't reply because it's against U.S. laws. There are no U.S. laws limiting what Bush does.

I like bendito's posts. They let us see the neo-con playbook, all of it...all four sentences. Poor bad, wealthy good. Peace bad, war good. America bad, Israel good. Gay marriage bad, gay sex good. I just take issue with the word salad, but that's to be expected what with the state of his mental health and all.

Note to corporate media: Showing pictures of the Conarteesta stick-figure decending airplane steps 24-7 IS NOT NEWS. Let us know when\if she accomplishes anything other than buying shoes or pounding the ebony and ivorys in an ugly red sack.
