Comments: Kuttner: Report on the Real Power

A neoconfider behind the decider? Who knew?

What? Actually investigate what is REALLY going on, as opposed to publishing the daily talking points from Propaganda Central? HaHa! This will never happen, ever.

One would think that the "ordinary" person would be quite interested in finding out that Cheney REALLY IS running this government-hating, failed operation.

But I guess to the Major Outlet editors (Boston Globe excepted), stories about how the administration actually operates are for the Angry Moonbat Left only.

And historians after it's too late.

firstly, this is not news. Neither is the fact the Media has covered it up. Anyone who watches a Bush non-scripted news conference can see he's an idiot blowhard. I disagree with Kuttner's assertion that Cheney would not be "allowed" to do what he is doing if only us dumb citizens knew the extent.......Bob, we know, and he's doing it. The men mentioned in the article have a iron grip on this country's policy and actions, and here is another news flash: they don't intend to give it up in November. The question is how will they keep it, and how loud will the Media yell. I don't know the answer to the first part, but the second will likely be "not loud enough".

Josh Marshall identified Total Dick as the driving force behind every failed (i. e. all) administration initiative several years ago. People've been Cheney spotters ever since Nixon fell back on 2nd stringers Cheney and Rummy to stave off impeachment. Did a great job for him, didn't they? Cheney/Rummy went forward rendering such invaluable services to Gerald Ford and the nation that Carter's victory was a certainty although Jody & Ham got the credit. Subsequent events have only revalidated Marshall's observation...with a vengence.

Many are grateful Five Deferments, rather than a competent, has been the actual Great Helmsman of the corporate congressional military oligarchy. For all the grief he's put us through, imagine how bad things would be if he had actual creative ability rather than mere genius for primitive grasping brutality. Although declaring the Urinary Executive's last throes at this time is premature, there's no question Total Dick's touch-of-dross and substantial over-reach generated a string of failures, attracted unwanted attention and a host of embarrassing questions. With his faction's and nation's interests both diminished, at least this reptillian grifter's managed to aggrandize his own repulsive self...a signature Dick Cheney trait.

Hizb'Allah's given Total Dick a Maalox moment; delivering his fourth losing cabinet war and promising a failed fifth when Iran is attacked.
It's been said TD studied Boyd. Must've been so he could turn it all ass backwards, inside out and upside down. Boyd would stomp Total Dick's nuts and stub his cigar out in his eye. Too bad John's dead. If Five Deferments lives long enough, he'll eventually dissolve in a Pinochet solution.

Stay healthy Dick!

Ahoy, Condi. You're "humane." Who knew?

"Stay healthy Dick!"

Never wish the Devil well.

Cheney got drunk and shot a man in the face. It would take a legal pad to list the charges accrued during that hunting trip. Yet there he sits on the throne. I dare say he could have killed the guy and retained office. Absent a massive coronary we may be under his thumb for many years to come.

so when is someone going to arrest them?

At a 20 percent approval rating, Cheney just would not be allowed to do what he is doing.

That's what dems need to do. Raise his profile. Finish every sentence with Cheney's name. Tie him to Bush, the Rubber Stampers, wire tapping, executive power grabs, Katrina, Iraq, you got time? Keep telling the public why they don't like the VP. Keep asking who's in charge.
