So, an Iranian fundamentalist is behind a lot of this mess. Birds of a feather flock together I suppose.

No way they get away with this. And it is going to hurt.

You guess have become pretty lame.

Just scroll by his stuff if it bothers you. I can read him without needing to make a comment. Consider it an editorial...whatever. Don't get your panties in a bunch over it.
So Disney gave $40 million of its shareholders’ money to fund a right wing loon’s wet dream in prime time,
Why do right wing loons always need so much money to do anything? I can do a Busch docu-drama with two Tex-ass faggots -one old and wrinkley, the other with a shaved head. A little "Bocca-chocka-bow, chokka bow" music. Shouldn't cost more than two or three thousand bucks. I need a working title to get 40 million from the right wing for this turke...project.
Weapons of Ass Destruction!
Mission Accomplished!

Dear Anon:
It is because of people like you that Pessimist decided to render the verdict. Blame yourselves.
Anyone interested in the mindset of a pathetic 9/11 conspiracy theorist scroll down to the "Giuliani Ignored Air Warnings After 9/11" thread. Scout unloads some doosies.

Posted by phidipides at September 8, 2006 08:43 PMLets not forget the BIG difference btwn the Donks and the Republicans ... them Republicans BACK their propagandists, but the Donks couldn't run away from "Fahrenheit 911" FAST enough. Chomsky and Moore couldn't get a Donk politician to be caught on film in the same BLOCK as them. Meanwhile, Limbaugh, Coulter and Hannity are all huge heroes.

Which just goes to show you how sick some people are in this Country, mentally and emotionally.
I think I'm beginning to almost enjoy this Disney thing. It is so poorly conceived and marketed that it has put a big red x on the neocons, authoritarian gang as incompetent fools. I mean, the symbolic juxtaposition of ABC's fools' errand and the way the neocons rampaged thoughtlessly into Iraq are actually lining up quite well. Just like the Iraq cabal who turned a blind eye toward planning for occupation, ABC's cabal was so arrogant they actually believed they could grandstand their way past any obstacles, like, say, truth. And these minions are the ones Rep's count on to get them into office? Wow, that's one hunk of blind faith.
Posted by mainsailset at September 8, 2006 08:59 PMJust heard tonight at 10:30, that ABC has no plans on withdrawing the movie. Hit everyone of them financially. That's the only thing they truly understand. You want to aid and help this WH change history, then you pay the price for that decision.
Posted by Judith at September 8, 2006 09:26 PMDavid Horowitz? Revoke his tenure!!!
Posted by Marky at September 8, 2006 09:48 PMSo why is this ABC showing this crap without commercials? Here's what Govindini Murty, co-artistic director of the Liberty Film Festival (now under Horowitz' control) said:
In addition, "The Path to 9/11" is running with no ads or sponsors, because the left considers it so controversial and no companies have been willing to sponsor it.
Oh. Not even Exxon? Or Murdoch? Why not?

What a bunch of crap. There will be no commercials because the GOP and the warmongering greedy bastards who support them know damn well that commercials would dilute the impact of the film. Since when has any company cared what in the hell the left thought?
Posted by Judith at September 9, 2006 05:01 AMYWAM is quite an interesting profile. Most shocking to me is that my Nephew belongs to the YWAM organization (yeah, my dear Brother's son). Finding out that this is a far-right religious organization way a real eye-opener for me. I tried to find an email address for David Cunningham, but was unsuccessful. However, I did send a note to his Father Loren about their support of lies and misinformation, and suggested that any organization that supported lies were not a Christian group but a cult.
Posted by Judith at September 9, 2006 05:13 AMThis morning at saw a 60 second spot that I could not believe. This WH and the GOP are pulling out all the stops to instill absolute FEAR in every American in this Country prior to the election this year. It is a commercial about FEAR and justification for SPYING ON AMERICANS. I could not read the small print at the bottom of my t.v. screen, but it doesn't matter. It was not a campaign ad for any political candidate. It was simply a spot on how much we need to BE AFRAID.
FYI, ABC as promoted this adventure as commercial free from day one, they never sought advertising and were not denied by any advertising media. For a Horowitz companion to throw out any other explanation is an attempt to distract on a convenient left. The logic is twisted and just plain wrong. This movie was conceived, produced and marketed pre-paid and that's the point to remember when explosing the inaccuracies it's sponsors want out on the airwaves. This movie is merely a next generation swiftboating attack piece.
Posted by mainsailset at September 9, 2006 07:25 AMI just now read this about the above ad. IT IS DESPICABLE and should be withdrawn immediately.
Right-Wing Group's Ad: "These People Want To Kill Us"
You really have to see this one to believe it. A right-wing group called "Progress for America" has just taken the Bush "national security" strategy to a ridiculously lurid extreme: It's running a new TV ad just in time for the Sept. 11 anniversary which is almost comically desperate in its efforts to scare voters. The ad is running in Missouri -- where GOP Senator Jim Talent is fending off a tough challenge from Claire McCatskill. But get this: The ad doesn't say anything at all specific to Missouri. It just says that "these people want to kill us" (meaning terrorists) and that "some" want to "cut and run" from the Middle East. View it here.

Posted by Judith at September 9, 2006 07:33 AMJohn @ Americablog has a piece up that 2 FBI agents told ABC folks a year ago that the film had too many inaccuracies and ABC rejected their advice. How can this not be a successful libel suit if they play it now? http://americablog.blogspot.com/
Posted by mainsailset at September 9, 2006 07:36 AMI did my part.
I sent emails to both Steve Jobs (major stockholder in Disney) and to bonehead Robert Iger (who runs the corporation) and asked them to yank the mini-series off the air.
I am hoping that my small contribution (along with several million other e-mails to these persons) might do the trick.
Firedoglake has the particulars on how to get their e-mail addresses and send messages
Posted by Yourworstnightmare at September 9, 2006 08:09 AMmainsailset, Americablog's been on fire with this, as has Kos and digby's had fantastic commentary. Wouldn't it be funny if this is the issue that keeps the dems on the attack up through November? Kids love irony.
Posted by iamcoyote at September 9, 2006 09:23 AMThanks, YWN - I forgot FDL!
Posted by iamcoyote at September 9, 2006 09:24 AMTaylor Marsh also has a John Kerry speech up as well where he's on fire. Perhaps this will be what gets Dem leadership to sweep the consultants' claptrap out the door and speak from their hearts.
Posted by mainsailset at September 9, 2006 09:54 AMJudith, Fact Check has a piece up about the inaccuracies in that ad.
Posted by Anjha at September 9, 2006 11:06 AMMain, do you have a link to the Kerry thing?
I am supposed to be recieving a copy of it when its done.
I am pissed that the SPAN is not covering it.
Posted by Anjha at September 9, 2006 11:07 AMYou can get a copy emailed to you here.
I have it. It was emailed. But it is not linked to online.
Thanks SOS.
Posted by Anjha at September 9, 2006 11:15 AMBoy am I dumb...can link to it at HuffPo.
Shoulda looked first.
Posted by Anjha at September 9, 2006 11:17 AMAnjha. Sorry about that and just in case I'm missreading your comment that Taylor is over at HuffPo, here's the link http://www.taylormarsh.com/

Doesn't matter. They are running it anyway and some people will be influenced.
Posted by Judith at September 9, 2006 02:20 PMYou mean to tell me that the Dems are upset. Fucking unbelievable! There's blood in their veins afterall.
