Comments: And you already thought it was ugly!!

Poor McCain. Fucked again by Bush.

Oh well, what did you expect. If the families of those killed on 9/11 want to be used, then shame on them. They are soiling the names of their loved ones who died.

McCain, Warner and Graham should take out full page ads telling the truth. They should be so enraged that no stone is left unturned in getting the truth out. They should use the word 'liars' everytime they refer to this Administration. But, they won't. Believe me, there is a special place in hell for Rove. Hmmmmm, what was it that killed Lee Atwater. Oh, that's right. A brain tumor. And he was so young.

We can't stop Rove. He is shameless, and he learned from the best, The Atwater School of Screwing the Opposition.

I just sent an email to Claire McCaskill who is trying to unseat Talent. Her ad is so nice that I want to throw up. Consequently, she looks weak. McCaskill's ad is a symptom of the problem. Democrats are still taking sticks into the arena to fight an enemy who uses bombs.

I'm obliged to disagree. I don't think it's possible to go any lower than having Big Lied a nation into unleashing war. Everything else- however reprehensible- pales in comparison.

Frankly, I'm not really surprised but none the less I am pretty sick and tired of it. And this strategy fits in perfectly with what Jim Vandehei and Chris Cillizza wrote about in WaPo today, (GOP Politics to get personal on Democrats.) Even though you mentioned republicons here, it's a strategy that will be employed on any critic or (enemy) of this adminstration.

The National Republican Congressional Committee, which this year dispatched a half-dozen operatives to comb through tax, court and other records looking for damaging information on Democratic candidates, plans to spend more than 90 percent of its $50 million-plus advertising budget on what officials described as negative ads.

Isn't it sad commentary on that party and the state of politics in our country that republicons feel the need to spend 40 million dollars trying to destroy people. Unfortunately it's the only thing the Roveco brand RNC and the culture of corrupt rubberstamp republicons know how to do well. My only hope is that the public gets even more soured that they will reject this unpopular party's antics. Smear and Fear...it's all they've got to run on because their record of governing certainly sucks.

Okay Dems, you know the predictable RNC game plan and you know how they play the game (they're ruthless). You have seen them in action time and time again before (let the swiftboating games begin)coming down to the last 60 days. How/What are you going to do to respond/preempt it?

This is going to get very ugly, though I agree with somewhat with Sonoma, above, that it's already been about as ugly as I can stand.

What would be even uglier would be laying the truth out before the American people. That is what the Republicans are afraid of, and that is why they will fight like wounded tigers to hold onto power.

OT, but CBS is running right now '911'. It is following one fire station through the whole ordeal. Excellent so far.

Try this: Bush doesn't have to actually capture Bin Laden to salvage the '06 midterms. He just has to have it announced he's been captured, oh, say 72 hours before polling. Long enough in advance for a positive wave of voter euphoria and celebration to swing some close races. Not so far ahead though tough questions and a "put up or shut up" movement develops. The administration never really makes the official announcement. A willing (bribed) party with sufficient credibility does the deed, stating Binny is in custody and being transported to a Pakistani prison for questioning and charges. The election takes place, Republicans hold both houses in a squeaker, and only later does someone sheepishly apologize they got it all wrong. Mistaken identity, miscommunication. During the election lead up Bush cautions all to wait on more sure info ("wink, wink, yeah we got him!") and post election Tony Snow points out no U.S. government spokesman ever said Binny was caught and "Hey, Bush told you all not to count your chickens, remember?". What the hell is anybody going to say after the non-capture comes to light? Point fingers at the administration and whine they're a bunch of lying, calculating bastards? Well duh! The public knows that already. They would get what they wanted and the news cycle rolls over just like it always does and we move on to some kidnapped white girl or debating whether Michael Moore is really the devil incarnate. Tin foil? With this crew there is no tin foil, the most cynical scenario is entirely possible. Desperate times, desperate measures.....

Bush-Rove-Frist planned to force Democrats to vote against their odious interrogation/torture bill and then to beat Democrats with the charge that they are Soft on Terror. Now they must be boiling mad at McCain/Warner/Graham for providing "cover" for Democratic Senators, who can oppose Bush's plan and still support McC/W/G. This campaign strategy against Democratic Senators has done nothing more than to divide republicans.
Nice to see Bush-Rove fail.

Rove will pay a heavy, heavy, excrutiating price for his ghoulish treason someday.

And I'm not talking about a political price.

Motherfucking Nazi scum.

The terrible hand held camera work in "Path to 9-11" gave me such a headache, I couldn't count all of the mistakes.

Screw you Sullivan. You are one of thos enablers that can't run away fast enough now you prick.

Runaway, fine. But hone up to all the crap you peddled and I'll cut you some slack. Until then the gloves are still off.
