Comments: When The MOE Is "Good News"

I thought the bedwetting pussies were the Dems & The Goopers were the pantdumping bullies.

Posted by idiosynchronic at September 13, 2006 05:06 PM

No, the bedwetting pussies are the Tobys and the Crappys, who are willing to follow the pantdumping bullies because they want to beat up on the Smarter Than Them Guys Democrats, just for being smarter than them.

You know, it looks to me like the numeric value for 'some of the people all of the time' might actually be 42, providing, at long last, the question to which that number is the answer to (ref. 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe').

one month. See where the polls are then, a couple weeks from the election. I believe the Media will be trumpeting a "surge" for Bush and the GOP by then, with the repeated spin of the "weak Dems" the "no ideas Dems" leading the "well we know you don't like us, but there is no reason to vote for them" mantra by the GOP picking up real and imagined steam. There is so,so very much to lose in this election from the GOP standpoint, the Corporate Overlord standpoint, the Religious Nut standpoint (the current "three arms of government") that I'm pretty sure by October 28th, we'll be hearing "dead heat" or "Dems have Faded" 24/7 by the Media. And Rove will have unleashed a barrage of filth that event the Media will report as the foulest in history.....but not hold him to task for it. We are, friends, in a War for our Civilization, just as Bush has said. But the war is here, not in Iraq.

Get this Harry Reid guy outta here or the ship is lost....way too much of a sissy...a tongue-tied mumbling misfit.

Posted by Goyo at September 13, 2006 06:29 PM

Methinks perhaps the pollsters may have just returned from Iraq where they gave the Pentagon the miscounts on the morgue occupants. Same guys.

Posted by mainsailset at September 13, 2006 06:34 PM

Keep your focus on winning Democrats-helps their name recognition.
We know Bush is a failure.

Posted by CLK at September 13, 2006 06:50 PM

If Bush has a Republican congress next year he will start World War Three.

Say it beltway Dems. It's the simple truth.

Posted by herbalt tee at September 13, 2006 07:01 PM

And he is getting the media to trumpet a rise within the margin of error over two months as good news...

Well, I been down so goddamn long/
That it looks like up to me...

Steve, why was I banned?

Posted by Toby Petzold at September 13, 2006 07:21 PM

I'm going to guess it was for the same reason nobody told you about all the cool kids' parties in high school.

Posted by dj moonbat at September 13, 2006 07:24 PM

How in God's name is it even possible that anyone could have a more positive view of Bush after all of his recent pompous speeches? I am beyond baffled...maybe people are starting to pity him.

Posted by ann at September 13, 2006 07:26 PM

Ann, I'm with you. What has gotten better since last spring that would cause this uptick...every single thing has gotten worse except gas prices. I'm still waiting for the seniors to get their notices in Oct that Medicare is going up. Seriously, these polls are just plain wrong.

Posted by mainsailset at September 13, 2006 07:40 PM

Maybe it was the timing of the poll, right after 9/11 when Bush did his little tap dance and we had the ABC piece of shit.

Sorry to inform y'all. Ann Richards has died. We will miss her sharp wit.

Posted by peter at September 13, 2006 08:02 PM

Even Rep Bilbray has opened a 14 point lead over Busby in CA-50. That Duke Cunningham scandal sure produced a wave, not! Most of the movement has been from moderates, a 17 point swing from Busby to Bilbray. He hasn't been there long enough to do ANYTHING, and yet he's gaining approval.

Laughing some more at the whimpy wave.

Steve, why was I banned?

Because you couldn't and wouldn't differentiate between an outright -and well proven- lie and the truth. You were banned for supporting a lie. Not for a differing opinion, not for some mistake in logic, not for disagreeing. You supported a known lie, which implies supporting facts that aren't true or are mere personal opinions and beliefs. Anyone can get something wrong, but you went well beyond that. Steve's lie-meter apparently couldn't take the pressure.

Too bad that race wasn't decided by a fist fight. Ann would have kicked the Mad King's ass. Loser fucking deserter clown. Good god, I hope the republi-cons are happy with anbar under control of Al Qaeda. What do they care? They are tended by Bushco the same way farmers tend mushrooms.

Steve, why was I banned?

I can't speak for Steve, but if it were my website, I would ban you because you are a cowardly overweight chickenhawk who lives on Cheetos in his mom's basement while waiting for his degree in history to get him a job as the night clerk in a convenience store, and who spends his days trying desperately not to understand anything no matter how simply it is presented to him.

But that's just me. Steve probably has better reasons.

I glanced quickly at the picture of Chimp and the headline and thought it said,
"Slight Upchuck".

Posted by Mike G at September 13, 2006 10:12 PM

For anybody perplexed by how such an awful President could see his numbers rebound, I give you three magic words: "falling gas prices."

Posted by dj moonbat at September 14, 2006 07:48 AM

Moonbat is right. It is the gas price. This same scenario played out in 04. High gas prices had pushed Bush's #'s lower, then about Labor Day they headed down, kept falling and by election time, Bush had his "uptick", enough to scrape out a victory even with his vulgar and stupid debate performances.
When you control Big Oil and the Media, you use them for political purposes.
