He's done.

Welcome Senator Webb
Posted by new guy at September 24, 2006 05:30 PMWhy are they talking about "When four Americans are hung and the city cheers, you take out Fallujah. You level the city...." Bennett then cited the example of the destruction of Hiroshima. Bennett's exhortation to mass collective punishment - the slaughter of hundreds or thousands of innocent civilians perhaps, or at least the destruction of their homes and cities - received enthusiastic applause" at a Voter Values conference? What is that Value?
It's turning out to be a Talking Point epicenter - Dobson was on the Nazi/Chamberlain kick yesterday. I believe it is being sponsored by a non-profit, tax exempt Focus on the Family spin-off...
Posted by Mickey at September 24, 2006 06:03 PMI believe the only two appropriate references to Nazis in today's political discourse are
1) The Bush Administration is using the Nazi playbook to try and hold power
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
and 2) The Bush family made its fortune helping Hitler raise the funds to buy the ovens that baked the Jews and waged horrific unjust war on everybody in it's neighborhood. Prescott Bush did this with enthusiam all the way up to 1942 when the US government seized his assets under the Trading With the Enemies Act.
Posted by new guy at September 24, 2006 06:09 PMBennett is a hypocrite!
Blackwater still has lawsuits pending against them for their pecadillos in the deaths of some of these young men!
Of course in bu$hworld the charges will undoubtly be dropped! Erik Prince, head of Blackwater, donates a lot to the bu$h family. Bu$hco returns in kind with huge government contracts.
Hugo Chavez is a wonderful human being and spoke the truth about ShitHole, that he was the Devil. Conveniently, everybody FORGETS Pope John Paul II referred to SH as the Anti-Christ. I like the President Dude from Iran too. That he is a Holocaust denier is something he can be educated about; but any leader who hates ShitHole is a hero in my eyes, despite compartmentalized ignorance.

Yo, new guy, thank you! I know Webb will replace Bush 2 in Virginia. I liked Webb right away, because he's a writer, did Rules of Engagement which was an awesome movie with Sam Jackson, and it was partially filmed in Vint Hill, VA, an old Army military base, and my former stomping ground as a friggin' GI. He's big and mean and a former Republican though sensitive VA dems forget Jeffords quit being a Republican in 2000 and went Indie. He was regarded as a hero. But now, since there ain't a dimes worth of difference between two parties, who gives a damn? Webb has a foreign wife and his kid is engaged to a foreigner which, in Northern Virginia where whites are rapidly becoming a minority, is cool! At least Webb doesn't chew tobacco!
Posted by Mal Feasance at September 24, 2006 06:40 PMActually Mal, Webb admitted on MTP that he chews. I don't count that against him.
Posted by Seven of Six at September 24, 2006 07:05 PMBut Webb chews with CLASS; he ain't no farm boy.
Posted by Mal Feasance at September 24, 2006 07:25 PMWhich part of WAR CRIMES does Bill Bennett not understand? Collective punishment, especially against civilians, is a war crime and Bill Bennett is a Nazi muffin.
