Comments: Woodward Book Reveals Potholes For White House

If Bush Administration officials are really not above the law, we should have a real treat coming-accountability.
The only question is how fast they can be charged and tried and do we have enough Judicial capacity for all of them.
Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Hastert, Frist (Doctor pushes human torture), Ashcroft, Gonzales, Rove, all their aides, their aides' aides....
International Court, Supreme Court, Federal Courts, State Courts, probably even Judge Judy.

I wonder if Woodward wanted a highly sensationalized, damaging book to come out right before the election because his popularity had waned in some circles over his do nothing approach to the Plame case?

The Return of Dr Kissinger is what scares me most. Of all the people in the world that man does not deserve a do over.
I thought Cheney was obsessed buy the loss of power by the president when Nixon went down.
Dr Death was there too.
They watched the whole thing happen.
And now they to watch it together again.
And we get to go through it again too.

Ohh happy day!

Dr. K's mantra for years is that we never should have let the country waffle and leave VietNam. What is it about this administration that it is filled with good old boys who look at this tenure as a chance to re-write the history books and right the wrongs they perceive were wrought upon them (by much wiser men).
Looking back on this week seems like we're nearing a full boil for that little gaggle of frogs.

When he finally realizes all is lost (i.e. imminent impeachment/indictment), about three months after he hard off the wagon falls, Pickles permanently decamps to Mom's place back in Midland and the "Do Not Resuscitate." sign goes up on Cheney's private room at Walter Reed, Bush will find Hank helpful in co-imploring the Creator to directly intervene on his behalf.

I can just see Dr. Death now, brow furrowed in barely contained agony as brittle patellas snap, crackle and pop under the compressive deformation of his ample gravitas. "Oy veh, not this horseshit again." Tell it to the Marines, cryface; if you can't take the sanctimony, stay out of the Oval Office.

Ahoy, Condi. Do the petition! Citizen.

"refuses to leave until they defeat the insurgency"

Nah, the plan is actually to refuse to leave until the last drop of our oil is pumped from underneath their sand.

Insurgency = excuse to stay.

Why do you think everything we do encourages and strengthens the insurgency?

Is anyone else pissed that supposed-journalist Woodward is sitting on scoops so you have to buy his book (years later) instead of reading about them in his paper in real time for zero marginal cost?

This seems like a type of privatization of The News to me, not to mention a conflict of interest.
