Katie does the news as if she is on sedatives. Where is her spark? This certainly is as intended, maybe to indicate gravitas, maybe to reassure the right wingnuts that she and CBS not the dreaded liberals the wingnuts think they are.
Last night, in the CBS News Free Speech segment, the father of a Columbine victim blamed that horrible incident on teaching evolution in the schools. With due respect for the man's opinion, the loss of his son had nothing to do with teaching evolution.
Katie and CBS have got it all wrong.

I's been a fan of CBS news for over 40 years (we got our first TV the weekend JFK was shot); after no more than 10 minutes of Katie's inaugural show, I switched to NBC (at least Brian Williams was in the suprdome when it counted),
