Comments: Nearly 60% Think Bush Misleads The Public On Iraq

Why does America hate America so much?

Knowing that 4 out of every 10 people you pass on the street are stupid idiots that could knuckle-drag their way up to a Diebold is far from reassuring.

The poll should be 98%, with 2% following the tax breaks for the rich blindly off a cliff.

Little Boots is a LIAR.

Considering what we know at this point-in-time, it is dismaying to see the statistics. I agree with TIKI AL, the figure should be much higher than 60%.

Glad to see you are pivoting back to Iraq.

Time to roast Condi and the rest of the inept bunch and let the Republicans eat their own over Foley for a few days. With luck Hastert will get ousted and we'll be even stronger.

To at least some degree I agree with Richard. All this Foley stuff, while significant, is taking away attention from some of Bob Woodward's revelations. One of the most noteworthy of these is that while George Tenet was lying awake at night with worry of impending attack, he informed Condi about why he was worried in July 2001 and she brushed him off

She needs to answer for this, but perhaps won't, if the media focus only on Foley's sexual harrassment.

I know this is OT, but a man named Howards was arrested for harassing the Vice President because he told him "I think your policies in Iraq are reprehensible."

In a lawsuit filed today alleges that Howards was arrested in retaliation for having exercised his First Amendment right of free speech, and that his arrest violated his Fourth Amendment protection against unlawful seizure.

This will be interesting to follow this story.

I'd like to see another poll for this week given that the CNN poll was taken over the weekend and probably does not include the full impact of Woodward's book and the Foley scandal.

I can see Bush's numbers dropping to 33%. That's 25% for hardcore right-wing Republicans and 8% for those too cussed to pay attention.

11 more soldier's dead in Iraq today!

If anyone is interested, right now on PBS is the "Return of the Talaban."

Posted by Judith at October 3, 2006 06:58 PM

7, I think about the dead, injured, and effected extended family and friends of our soldiers everyday.

What a horrible waste because of an ignorant chimp that couldn't clear a Rubik's Cube.

Judith,

I saw the story too.

Cheney's victim is bringing legal action against him. This country is becoming a banana republic.

"This country is becoming a banana republic."

Christopher, this Country is a banana republic. Ask our tyannical ruler.

That poll and .75 will buy you a cup of joe.

Posted by peter at October 3, 2006 10:07 PM

Well, I suspect that the GOP think they are winning in the polls, and everyone is behind the Iraqi War, and the confidence in the pResident has not waivered. That's the only explanation for a statement like "That poll and .75 will buy you a cup of joe."

Reality is a bitch.

Posted by Judith at October 3, 2006 10:56 PM

The GOP is a Party of Crooks and Liars. Plain to see.

That poll and .75 will buy you a cup of joe.

You are stupid, and that poll will get your asses kicked in the midterms. And even if it doesn't, you'll still be stupid...and a perv that supports sex with underage boys. We've got the record of it...forever.
