Support the troops! let their families beg for food!
Yep the is the GOP
The thought of Bush facing the jarring reality that he is once again just a dumb fuck from Crawford...or wherever he's actually from...on January 20, 2009 sustains me some days.

The troops are just cannon fodder to this administration. The idea that voting for them is supporting the troops is ludicrous. It's supporting the troops to vote against them.
Posted by Mister Go at October 20, 2006 02:06 PMSpeaking of terrorism;
O’Reilly said that he knew “for a fact that President Bush doesn’t know what’s going on in the Internet.” O’Reilly then said, “I have to say President Bush has a much healthier attitude toward this than I do. Because if I can get away with it, boy, I’d go in with a hand grenade.”
I'm not too concerned about it though.
I doubt O'Reilly could figure out which tube to crawl through.
Posted by snark at October 20, 2006 02:15 PMHe could throw a falafel at the computer, maybe that would be O'Liely's idea of combat.
Posted by iamcoyote at October 20, 2006 02:22 PMWhat should we do about iraq? What should I be writing to our president and senate about what they should be pushing for?
Posted by bobby at October 20, 2006 02:29 PMDe facto president Cheney must be exhausted.
Posted by Christopher at October 20, 2006 02:31 PMWhat should we do about iraq? What should I be writing to our president and senate about what they should be pushing for?
The first and foremost thing that needs to be done is to pry the hands that have had a death grip on the steering wheel of Iraq policy for the past 4 years off. Thay are so wedded to the failed policy of George 'I don't make mistakes' Bush that they can not even rationally consider the merits of any alternative approach. They just can't. What does that mean. They need to be voted out of office. Right now that means booting the Senators and Reps who have enabled this travesty. That's only gonna do so much unfortunately. We're still gonna have Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld for another two years. But it's the place to start.
There will be no fresh ideas until those who are completelt compromised by their attachment to current policy are out of power.
Posted by snark at October 20, 2006 02:38 PMGeorge W Hoover looks like he's constipated. We should send him some prunes.

President Bush conceded Friday that "right now it's tough" for American forces in Iraq, but the White House said he would not change U.S. strategy in the face of pre-election polls that show voters are upset.
Bush addressed the question of whether he would alter his policies.
"We are constantly adjusting our tactics so that we achieve the objective, and right now it's tough, it's tough," Bush said in an Associated Press interview.
Need more proof Bush is insane?
Inning over.
Time to order the Articles of Impeachment.
Posted by Christopher at October 20, 2006 05:07 PMJames Sayre, I think you covered it. However, you missed my favorite. "Get the fuck out."
Posted by Judith at October 20, 2006 06:57 PMIs anyone aware of anyone who's taken a serious look at the possibility that our government could have approached Hussein, in secret if need be, and proposed a working relationship akin to what we've got going with Musharraf in Pakistan?
Posted by snark at October 20, 2006 07:10 PMSnark, the Swiss have reported that Hussein approached them and the French in the week before the invasion to capitulate and offer the United States a host of goodies if they would not invade. Richard Perle of all people was aware of this offer.
Hussein offered a preferential oil deal for American firms, the installation of 5000 UN weapons inspectors to prove he didn't have WMDs, and several other things. But his offer was never delivered to the White House.
