For god's sake, aren't there any hackers in the Democratic Party?
That's the only way we can put a stop to this--hack the hackers and make the whole electoral process such a farce that the entire citizenry will rise up in protest.
I'm thinking our mystery poster is a plant. Steve, is that mucky's IP address?

I'm thinking our mystery poster is a plant.
A shrub, perhaps?
Posted by snark at October 30, 2006 07:05 PMSpeaking of on and on it goes. These two posts just now on ThinkProgress.org are really scary. Are the thugs closing in for the kill? I'm beginning to think that the next month in America is going to be pretty dramatic.
Pentagon psyops............this is serious
___________________________________________Here are the cut and paste posts from ThinkProgress:
Pentagon sets up a media “bullpen.”
The Defense Department has set up a new unit to fight “inaccurate” news stories, using “new media” channels to push its message. CNN reports that the unit would likely be run by political appointees. 9:37 pm | Comment (10)
The Bush administration has shut down access
to the EPA’s principal library for researching the effects and properties of chemicals. “EPA’s hasty, buzz saw slashing at its library network is now interfering with its mission of harnessing the best available science to protect human health and the environment,” said Jeff Ruch, director of Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility. The Bush administration has already shuttered EPA’s Washington headquarters’ library and regional posts in Chicago, Dallas, and Kansas City. 5:43 pm | Comment (63)
A shrub, perhaps?
More like a philodendron, I think. Or a poppy. Yeah, they look all pretty until you realize a whole bunch of them could provide the cia with enough money to extraordinarily rendition the state of Rhode Island.
Posted by iamcoyote at October 30, 2006 07:35 PMYou can tell it's fraud and not "glitches" because the result never, ever, ever goes against the Republican candidate. Just what is the probability that every "glitch" which happens would negatively affect only the Democratic candidate? Chances of such an outcome approach zero. Yet, the innumeracy of our media corps chosen for their good looks on camera and not their brains hinders their understanding such a reality and questioning the outcome.
Posted by PrahaPartizan at October 30, 2006 07:36 PMThe media's insistent labeling of this epidemic of voting irregularities as "voter fraud" (as on today's promo of CNN's election hotline) is a perfect example of the infuriating media cowardice - or is it complicity? - that prevents most Americans from discerning the truth.
As if the irregularities reported in electronic voting precincts can be explained by the hidden presence of thousands, maybe millions of cleverly-coordinated, fraudulent voters - not the efforts of a few highly partisan voting machine companies, or the operators of a very small number of highly secret tabulators.
Occam's Razor, anyone?
Posted by myxzptlk at October 30, 2006 08:00 PMTo summarize: why aren't the Republicans concerned about election fraud? Because they are the ones who are doing it ... and profiting from it.

[Editor: ignore=off]This is clearly the left's strategy to tamper with and undermine the electoral process, leveling false charges and playing on the fears of the simple followers who stagger at engaging in the substance of real matters, retreating instead into their own paranoid fantasies.
Then Vote Democratic bendejo!
Posted by Seven of Six at October 30, 2006 09:25 PMWhat would "conservative" Republicans do if the nation's elections were largely run on paperless machines completely controlled by a company owned by self-identified lib'rul Dems who openly proclaimed they were "committed to delivering" a crucial state's votes to Kerry in 2004? Just "trust the process" and go about their business as usual? Yeah, right. Fucking hypocrites, and bad citizens to boot.
If Americans have finally come to (sensibly) distrust the unverifiable election machinery used to "tabulate" much of the nation's elections, and thus the final results, Rove and his Republicans have only themselves to blame.
That they have not had the slightest inclination to restore the integrity of the nation's election machinery speaks volumes as to whether it's "glitches" or fraud.
As a result of KKKarl's hyper-polarization of the country, there is no longer a common "floor" of behavior that the two "sides" can any longer agree upon, least of all having transparent verifiable elections that both sides can feel confident in.
This is clearly the left's strategy to tamper with and undermine the electoral process, leveling false charges and playing on the fears of the simple followers who stagger at engaging in the substance of real matters, retreating instead into their own paranoid fantasies.

Made an ass out of yourself again, Bendito. I'll give you credit though, you're a consistent ass. You always make vague, unsubstantieted remarks, and then run and hide like the chicken-shit you are. When have you ever engaged anyone here on matters of substance? Chicken-shit punk.
Posted by sf at October 30, 2006 09:44 PMsf, Benito is a 'hit and run snipper.' Always has been, always will be. He is afraid to enter into a discussion, because he doesn't have the convictions of his words.
Posted by Judith at October 31, 2006 02:54 AMFunny how they've already looked into the machines that Chavez might be connected to. But no one has done anything about the vast majority of machines that are controlled by partisan Republican'ts. Very funny...
I'm just wondering if anyone else is planning to go into the voting booths with a horking big magnet hidden under their clothing. Nothing makes hash out of electronics like a big magnet. Can you imagine the confusion?
Oh, and Ben Ditto's projection? He's been well into the realm of insanity for the last few weeks. Wait until he starts engaging in all the behavior he's projected on others...
Posted by (: Tom :) at October 31, 2006 07:12 AMIt's not paranoia when the Repubs admit to it.
Peter King (R-NY) before the '04 election said "We've won" and a voice off camera said how do you know? He answered "It's all over but the counting and we'll take care of the counting".
His cynical answer took my breath away. That video should run every hour till election day just to remind people of what we are up against.
