For a long time, a lot of pro-lifers have argued—strenuously and disingenuously—that their opposition to Roe v. Wade had nothing to do with the actual abortion part: it was all about their deep, abiding concern with respecting the wishes of the masses, and not letting Activist Judges stand in the way of a mature democratic process.
Thank you, South Dakota, for this opportunity to let America see them fish or cut bait.
